Anyway right how many of you have used or Have checked Google Earth.. I am sure we all have at some point done it , before I go on to the point that I think is funny let me tell you that  It took a long ..  long time to make.. they spent months and months photographing the roads.. Each road was photographed and then somehow they were all put together.

It is awesome .. and its fantastic.. I got very excited when I first saw the application , downloaded it all .. you go on to the computer and you grab the little man and drop him .. and it takes you to the road.

It is amazing..

and here is the fun part when it begins 🙂  so we switch on our highly sophisticated computer or laptop, sitting in our house .

You are thinking where can I go .. We can go any where in the world .. ANY WHERE .. The key word here is ANY WHERE ..

But what do we do,  where do we all go on the first try..

OH YES

OUR OWN HOUSE  (now tell me , how many of us did that.. I bet EVERYONE)

even though at that particular time,  you are sitting in your own very house .. Inside the Room of your OWN very house..

It will be far easier to get up.. walk out  and LOOK AT YOUR HOUSE .. a LIVE 3D image of  your very own house 🙂

Anyhow not only that  you will do all the dramatics to reach your house, go up and down the street instead of landing directly on your house.. you have to move around this way that way  , Till you are right there ..

WHERE IS IT ..

oh yes THERE IT IS .. MY HOUSE ON GOOGLE EARTH awwwwwwwwwwww 🙂 I am so happy

Then you shout to someone in the house  .. come and look come and look

awwwwww thats my car near my house .. then it suddenly dawns on you ..  But that’s the green colour, I don’t have a green one .. I have a red one and mine is a Mitsubishi .. this looks like a BMW or a MERC..

Who was that in my house .. I don’t recognise the car,  I want to know what time the picture was taken,  who was that in the car Whose car is it .. was the person inside my house .. Or did they just park in front of the house ..

ahmm ahmm fishy fishy  who – why – what could possible it mean 🙂   I leave you with your imagination now he he he he ..

So who all have tried Google Earth 🙂

Noticed the beautiful morning , while boarding my flight to Chandigarh.. WOW when you look at the SKY..

Linking this to ABC Wednesday.

Continuing from part one How to live and Die (1) – Sad post and part Two How to live and Die (2 and 3)- My Views on what I think are some of the points that one needs to keep in mind to have a good Life and Die a peaceful death, the first point as I said is health.. as Health is Wealth., Then comes MONEY, I would actually put MONEY on par with Health, as lets be truthful in todays day and age MONEY is very important, Then comes having a place of your own called HOME , especially if you own your own house.

So moving on I think that there is a particular trait in us human beings that we should try to get rid of and that is “ENVY“, we all have it, A BIG FAT LIAR is the person who says he/she does not Envy.

The biggest envy we have is of that particular person who has done better than us, OH YES we all do that sometimes consciously or sometimes sub-consciously. I don’t know why do we do that or how does it concern us But in all these thoughts and in all this time spent in envying them we usually do not see how much hard work they have put in to get where they are.

It is not easy to reach high, takes a lot of hard work, heartaches, we lose a lot of people in that race to reach the top, seldom do we stand still to think is it WORTH it, reaching that particular position, or in trying to earn more money is it worth losing a good friend. By the time we stand still to think it is already too late what is lost is gone, I have a few friends who are doing just that, to become a manager or to get that extra pay grade they forget that their 4 years kid does not see them all day long, by the time they reach home the kid is asleep. Just spending a SUNDAY with the kid is not good enough, the Sunday too is spent most of time on phone calls or getting to grips what was missed in the week, paying of bills, renewing of this or that.

I have seem some very rich people not being able to enjoy a full meal in peace, YES they are a managing director of a company but having their dinner with the phone glued to the ear is not what I see as ideal situation. Thankfully I am pleased that I have stopped getting into this rat race, I am happy with what every I have, its enough to feed me all my life and maybe half the life of my next generation to.

Due to work and all there is only one meal in a day that I get to eat at home and I enjoy having it because I make sure I switch off my phone or put it on silent once I come back home.

I think it is this ENVY that makes us do all that, because we are envious of someone making so much money or reaching a particular position it makes us think about ourself , which in turn then makes us more frustrated WHY Can I Not have that, WHY cant I get that.. WELL you can but do give a thought at all the hard work put in and what all have these rich people lost on the way, Are you willing to give up all that!!!

So if we can get rid of this ENVY, I am sure we can have a smooth life.

What do you think people.. ?????

July Photo A Day 2014 challenge :- Day 6 is here , it seems I am on the roll .. two days in a row .. yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeee 🙂 getting there .. getting there .. slow and steady .. I think I am too old thats why it is taking time to warm up. The engine is starting slowly he he he he.

Mirror Mirror who is beautiful

Mirror Mirror who is beautiful

I  have been living in a city and studied in a city for majority of the times but my heart has always been from where we came.  My grand-father had actually run away from his house when only 16 and joined the indian army as a sepoy, he with his hard work had risen to the ranks of an officer by the time he retired, did all his education along, After he left army he joined the public services and shifted to chandigarh. Since my childhood I have been very very close to my grand-dad. He would never say no to me ever for anything.

We use to talk to each other a lot , and he would tell me that in all his struggle to cater for his kids and build a home he had sold off his share of land back home in punjab, but he had always wanted to have something , I use to tease him that he is in such a strong position , all the ministers etc use to come to our house for some work of the other , I would say all he needs is to ask any of these ministers to make sure that he gets this and that .. for whatever work he was doing for them. But I would get a rebuke he would get so angry with me. Telling me that all his life he has lived on his salary , all that he has made is from his own sweat and hard work, and in our great nation it is very difficult to make money till you sell your morality.

I am not saying that one can’t make or have a rich life without being corrupt , there are many who have done wonders, maybe my grand-dad never got that opportunity , although he did make little property in chandigarh as the prices then were peanuts and the Govt. was actually giving away land for peanuts just to make sure chandigarh as a city developed. Look at it now it is so hard to find a vacant place and everything is in Crores now .

My father too worked hard to make sure we had everything we wanted as we were growing up

Well I came to uk and I started building my life,  always had this in the back of my mind to try to go back to the place where my forefathers had lived, Had been working on this idea for a long long time.. Finally today another dream came true, that of owning a house in the same place where my grand-father had sold his share and moved out , Today 11th december was a good day , We are owners of a 3 bedroom house , the registry and everything went through fine, and what a relief it was.

When I got a call from my Mama Ji (my mom’s brother)  to tell me that the paperwork has gone through fine. It was a good feeling, so now all that remains is me booking my tickets and go there and actually be in the place and make it into a home.

They say we come to know about who the true friends are in time of need, I had to get together a lot of money in a very short time but thankfully we are blessed by some very good friends who came out and have helped me in the best way they could, And some helped without even me asking they knew  there will be need of money , and I did not want to take any loans etc for the reason, they all contributed and we had the full sum, that had to be paid.

December seems to have been a good month for me , 400th post and today this news , It seems god is happy with me.  I know I have some land and house etc , but they are like what my father bought and earned , so this is the first one that I own and it is a good feeling to own something of your own.

I know every one of you has been wishing me well and blessed me with the best of the wishes always, so please be like that always and thank you for the wishes they seem to be working for me.  I will post some pictures and all soon once I lay my hands on them myself. Actually to be truthful I have not even seen this house, my relatives back home had gone to see this and I talked to my Mama ji who said it was an ideal place and in a good location , so we went for it …

He made a remark that you have come back home, The place where the “MANN’S ” had settled earlier after independence,  Then they all moved out to greener pastures and I was going to go back to the place .. It was indeed a homecoming or will be once I land there.

Please everyone do keep me in your wishes and prayers.
