50+ Scratches

Hello Everyone, I know I know its gonna be a big big surprise to see a notification that I have written a post (that is if anyone still follows 🙂 ).. , its been a long long time. Took ages to log on as I had forgotten my username-password.  Thankfully I have now got it recovered, How are you all doing.

I thought of starting to get this blog working again , Life has been happening around but all that later, The biggest problem I feel now is that as I am trying to get back to writing and trying to woo all you lovely people back my mind seems to have stopped working.

I have been going through my drafts and scheduling a few posts to get published.. I found this tag that was quiet popular in the days gone by and was doing the rounds about four/Five years ago, I thought lets start it again ..

This tag is pretty simple. Just strike out the things that You have not done so far and to make it a bit spicier add a line or two as explanation to the ones that you have Done..

1.Graduated high school … Yeah I DID IT.. in spite of all the teachers saying I will not pass, I am sure some had a bet on too, But I regret graduation now in hindsight, as that was the best time of my life. I so wish to go back to it and do all those mistakes, stupidity everything again and AGAIN..

2.Kissed someone… No comments 🙂 .

3.Smoked a cigarette. …. No I hate smoking, the smoke , the smell it puts me off..

4.Got so drunk you passed out… Yes, and Lived to tell the tale (which I will sometime , as it was a funny episode now that I think of it)

5.Rode every ride at an amusement park… Yes, I had just come to UK and we went to Drayton manor park here, I took every RIDE.

6.Collected something stupid… Yes I collect MEMORIES. and no by stupid I mean Good stupid .

7.Gone to a rock concert… (I did go but could not get tickets so returned back)

8.Helped someone... I have put a strike on this , because I feel that if I have managed to help someone then it was my good luck, I was lucky and there can never be a time where we can have enough of helping someone, the world is becoming such a sad place, AND we all need to do our bit and continue doing our bit..

9.Gone fishing… (Oh yes, I remember going uphill in india, this is a funny episode, will have to post an article, let me say it did not end up in having Fish curry or fish fry 😦

10.Watched four  or more movies in one night… Oh yessss, a lot of times, I was in school hostel we use to rent a VCR on Saturday night, watch movies all night, fast forward the songs.

11.Snorted cocaine/Weed..(hopefully Will NEVER Try either)

12.Failed a subject… wowowo how could I NOT, I was the most outstanding student in the class ( always standing OUT OF THE CLASS :)), I had come from school to college, From ICSE to PSEB.. punjab school education board.. and I flunked in Punjabi.. disgraceful I know but my Punjabi was not that good.

13.Been in a car accident… ask me how many, I am accident prone.. I am thankful I am alive.. THANK YOU GOD .. I am sure there are a few out their wanting it to be otherwise but hey SORRY GUYS, tough luck

14.Watched someone die… The worst moments of my life, wish I could have done more and I prey that no one is in that situation.

15.Been to a funeral… Have been to a few now, the Men in our family seem to die off earlier. Although I would love to visit my OWN FUNERAL. just to see who all are there genuinely and see all those SMILEY faces .. saying GOOD RIDDANCE 🙂 Oh yes I have made so many people angry in my short life so far :).

16.Burned yourself… Yes my left hand, I managed to put the burning hot iron on it in 2012.. How !! don’t ask … No idea.

17.Run a marathon… Meeeeee run a marathon, WOW, that is something I got to see too 🙂 .. it will be more of a RUN FAT BOY RUN…

18.Cried yourself to sleep… Yes many a times now. Life is not a bed of roses always

19.Spent over 10,000 bucks in one day… Yesssss well this one is easy, buy anything for 100 pounds plus here , convert to indian currency yipeeee 10,000 gone 🙂

20.Flown on an aeroplane…  Yess  not just that I have actually Flown too, I had a Student pilot licence, use to have NCC in India ,did solo Gliding and then about 50+ hours of power flying in those Yellow aeroplanes PUSHPAK’s.

21.Written a 10 page letter… Yes about 2 a few years back, but did not post maybe one day will post .

22.Gone skiing or Sailing… (I would love to , one day )

23.Cut yourself… A few times now. Sadly for the few out there not life threatening 🙂

24.Had a best friend… This brings me so much pain always when, I think of him. Anupinder Singh Mann. My life is definitely a better one as he was part of it for as long as he way. I have so many beautiful friends all over the world. It was so lovely to have met many of them recently a month back. Life is beautiful with beautiful people around. God bless them all.

25.Lost someone you loved… Sadly Life is not always a bed of roses, you win some – you lose some. But never forget the ones we have lost as god knows where – when – How we might meet up again. I have this theory that ..

26.Got into trouble for something you didn’t do… Always  as I mentioned earlier I was an outstanding student (standing out of class always) , yet i got punished for something that happened inside the class, I wonder how that worked.

27.Stolen a book from the library.

28.Gone to a different country… Yes Gone to Europe… Spain,Germany, Czechoslovakia , Belgium etc etc. Been to Canada, Australia, America and INDIA 🙂 (Yeah me globe trotter, if only I had more money )

29.Watched the Harry Potter movies… I hate the movie

30.Had an online diary... Yeah I use to consider this blog as one, as it has a lot of memories hidden in the articles. Sadly been away for a long time, Wrote my diary as always though.

31.Fired a gun… I came runners up in Skeet shooting , when I was in NCC, in India

32.Gambled in a casino… (Itne paise hi nahin ki gamble karoon.. dont have that much money to gamble 🙂 )

33.Been in a school play… Oh yes I was bad only in studies, rest i was good at

34.Been fired from a job… Oh Yes, my second job in Chandigarh, beat up a student as he was doing dadagiri with his gang, so I got my gang , but got fired … tough.

35.Taken a lie detector test… Now I wonder who will say Yes to this, why would anyone tell anyone about having taken a lie detector.

36.Swam with dolphins… No , but touched them, kissed them , played ball with them.. Next year FLORIDA.. 100%/… Doing that …

37.Voted for someone on a reality TV show… I don’t like these shows as I still feel they are a bit manipulated.

38.Written poetry… (I have tried but am crap at it )

39.Read more than 20 books a year… (maybe 5 to 6 )

40.Loved someone you shouldn’t have… DEFINITE YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

41.Used a colouring book over age 12… My niece probably hates me for that, I was sitting playing paint the picture with her and ended up colouring all her book.. bad Uncle I am 😦

42.Had a surgery… Yes a couple.

43.Had stitches… yes MORE than a couple, Nothing to Boast about though sadly 🙂

44.Had more than 5 IM conversations going on at once.… WHATTTTTTT 5 coversations, do people do that. I would get lost in what I am saying to who .. Good luck to these people

45.Been in a fist fight… Oh yes .. More than a fist Full 🙂

46.Suffered any form of abuse… Yes, I did a post on that a few years back.

47.Had a pet… Yes I love dogs and a few back home in India.

48.Petted a wild animal… dolphins, seals , Shark, Want to pat a Lion though.

49.Dyed your hair.. oh yes the first time i went back to India after years , I had got blond highlights in my hair. My dad did not like it at all, lucky i was all grown up else I could see that SLAP coming..

50.Got a tattoo… I am so afraid of needles , I would not dare But I do want one for sure ..

51.Had something pierced… Ear

52.Got straight A’s… This makes me laugh out loud 🙂 because ME and STUDIES .. Two different things for sure .. very bad in studies

53.Taken pictures with a webcam.. The good old days when we had gmail chat, the use of webcam came very handy, nowadays its so simple skype-teams etc etc.

54.Lost something expensive… yes a few, A few years ago I had gone to Australia and lost my luggage and everything in it .

55.Gone to sleep with music on…

ABC of our life

Struggling to post hence taking this OLD OLDDDDDDDDDDD  MEME  in an attempt to get to know the ABCs of our lives. I was tagged by Aaradhna A long long time back, found it in my drafts so thought of posting it … here I go with the ABCs of my LIFE.

C – Current crush:  Hmmm too busy for crushes .. got so much on my plate at the moment .. Lot of things happening here and  back home in India .. Thinking of rebuilding our house back home  

D – Dance form:   I have two left feet that seem to want to jump at the same time each time i try to dance, and your guesses are as good as mine to what happens when both feet go in the air..

Day 26 :- Playing Volleyball with…..

Writing everyday of the month is becoming very very difficult, missed yesterday did not want to do it today too, so the easiest thing was to take up the Tag that Visha started, Although I was not tagged, I am still taking it up, Sorry Visha for that. She herself has done the tag here

So here we go, I love sports hence the topic of the Tag also sounds very sporting “Play Volleyball”

1. List all the ingredients which went into making the most interesting dish you ate today.

Well it is bright and early in the morning, being a Monday(this post was supposed to go yesterday) , rushing to work and as usual had a late night, hence am running a bit late so this one is very easy for me to answer, especially since I am very retarded in the field of cooking 🙂

SO here we go, this is what I have had and its easy to make .. Take a bowl, Pour the contents of the pouch in it, Add some Milk .. Put it in the microwave and after 2 minutes it’s all done .. EASY PEASY 🙂

2. What is the current wallpaper of your laptop/phone/tablet?

My laptop has the picture of my home in our village.. , Phone has the picture of a sea beach .. nothing fancy

3. How do you wear your hair when at home?

I have got the shortest possible haircut done just a couple of days , so nothing to WEAR them as .. again easy peasy.. keep life simple 🙂

4. When you visit any restaurant, what is the first thing you search for, in the menu?

The ice-cream or dessert they serve 🙂 …

5. What is the advertisement from your childhood that you recall even today.

Glucose D biscuits… especially the GABBAR KI ASLI PASAND… here drool at the following pic and remember those good old days

6.Have you implemented a beauty tip/hack which you were told to, and been mortified by the results?

No, I doubt if they will work on me .. and believe me I will be myself MORTIFIED if they work , hence i keep away don’t want to be mortified.. 🙂 and also don’t want to MORITFY any of you who come and visit this blog, I am positive you will all stop visiting.

7. At your home, where do the newspapers find themselves to be the most useful?

In a pile , beside the outside door, end of the month they go in the recycling bin ..

Where is the nearest Eating place.. 🙂

Sandhya’s Questions
1. Do you remember your first day in school?

No I dont remember the first day, But I do remember the first day when I went to hostel in class 5th, I was so exicted and could not wait for my parents to drop me and leave, yeah i did that. I could see my Mum and grand mother were in a somber mood, leaving the only male child out there alone ..

2. Your favourite song which you hum often.

I sing a lot of Folk songs, and Have a lot of favourite songs, cant see how I will be able to find one out of so many, just depends what mood I am in.

3. Which was your favourite subject in school?

English. The english teacher was a HOT lady, she knew she was .. It was a rush to the english class ot make sure to grab the first desk to sit.

4. Are you happy with yourself always, well… most of the time, for what you are today?

Yes I am very much happy with all that i have achieved or where I am at this juncture of my life, god has been very kind to me so far and I hope and pray he keeps his eyes on me as long as I live.

5. Role model in your life? 

I dont beleive in role models , as if we dig deep we can find enough wrong in all of them, So  I have always tried to live as my father taught me , Do what your heart says, listen to all, dont hurt anyone knowingly, jsut be a good human being and treat everyone as you would want to be treated.

6. Have you got the habit of cursing often?!

Yes I have and i regret it a lot, I cant seem to shake it off. I use the F word a lot. Anyone got any remedies that i can use to get it out of the system.

7. What do you do when you are very happy?

I thank god, Dance and jump about in gleee

8. Do you believe in God or destiny or luck?

I beleive that God is there but he has given the power to  make our own destiny by working hard,  not hurting others , I know everyone says that what has to happen will happen but we can change all that if we are true to ourself and are a good human being. For god helps those who help themselves.

9. Any regrets in life?

If you had asked me this question a couple of years back, I would have said yes but over time I have learned a lot maybe become maturer, so Now I dont regret anything after all, all the good times and the bad times have made me what I am now. So thanks to all those who have shown me good times and A BIG THANKS to those who have brought bad times in my life, because OF them I know what good times are ..

10. A sweet memory which you talk about often?

I talk a lot about my friends and I remember one incident when I was alone surrounded by people ready to bash me up and Babbar my friend came and stood there by my side, without me calling him. It takes guts to stand by your friends right or wrong and I can never forget it. To me it is a sweet memory as that’s what we knew when we were growing up, standing for each other. Punjab was a bad place in those days.


11. Do you think you are a good son, daughter, brother, sister, spouse, parent? Mark yourself, if you can!

No I am not, I have a lot to do , to be a good son, there are a few things that I need to do. I am trying hard to get them all done, One of the regrets is that my father is no more and he has not been able to enjoy my success as much. I hope that I am able to make my parents, siblings, friends , all who come to my blog, people who care for me Proud of me someday or at least not do anything that will make them sad they know me.

Post of Bhagat singh and other people who fought for our freedom , giving the supreme sacrifice , which NONE of the current lot of politicians can boast of.

2. If you could choose again, which is the profession you would choose for yourself?

I would try to get into army , indian army again as I have always wanted to join it, could not manage to do so

No I don’t believe in Ghosts…. (that was easy he he he )

Why thank you,  they should thank me that I participated in the competition, else they would have had to crown someone else, and FIND that Bikram did not even participate, so much shame for the organisers..

Depends how much is this huge cash.. if it is anything above a few tens million pounds Keep it to myself for sure , lucky meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee 🙂  anything less than that now worth the hassle.

1) If you could go back in time to relive one moment, what would it be?

Well a lot of good moments have taken place in my life, But the one that I would really like to go back and live it again is January 2008 (I am sorry I can’t get into what it was or Why, It’s just a little secret for myself, One of the best moments of my life that day. I remember I was so Very happy… If only I can go back to it .. Life would be so beautiful) the last few days of 2007 and the beginning of 2008.. Beautiful days

2) If you could go back in time and change one thing, what would it be?

Nothing, After careful consideration I would like to say that I would not want anything changed. Life has been good , god has been very kind. Have met so many lovely people some loved me some hated me, that’s how life is , I wish those who hate me become friends again.

3) What movie or TV character you think you resemble most in personality?

Movie I guess i would resemble the sidekicks who remain loyal to their friends all the time in thick and thin.. Pity the people whose sidekick I am don’t give a damn..

4) What movie or TV character would you really like to be like?

I would not want to be any of these REEL life people, I am Me a single ONE PIECE.. I don’t think anyone can be like me … Unique piece.. Have the best people loving me , have the worst people hating me .. Life has been a roller coaster all along… Hope its the same all through

I use to think I have a few to kill but Its fine, I guess God will treat them the way they treated me, Dont have any thing against them anymore. God bless them.  May they Live a Million Years.. and May EACH HOUR of those Years feel as long a Year to them so they can sit and feel how dishonest they been and what they have done.. LET them Live for long much longer than me..

I found this interesting  tag thought of taking it up!

We all know, how vast, rich and incredible our country is!  There is a lot to do in this vast country, I have loved being to every place i have been , Have so many lovely memories of every place

The rules are:
1. The list contains all the states of India and their capitals are in brackets.
2. Make bold the states you have visited, and mention your favourite memories of that state.
3. Include only states that you have really experienced, and have felt the culture of the place. The touch-and-go while travelling in a train does not count, because that way I believe I’d have seen a little more, but it does not give me a feel of the place and so they need to be actually visited.


Note: The format is State (Capital). The ones I have visited are in bold.


1. Jammu & Kashmir (Srinagar): Well 1985.. jammu and kashmir tour with school.. the beautiful places on way .. Kokernag where Jhelum starts .. Anantnag ,Srinagar Gulmarg, Pahalgam As they said if there is heaven on earth then its here.. The dal lake … , Stayed there for 20 days visiting all the places .. One of the places of which along with very very good memories , I have one very bad memory.. brought back memory of getting bullied .. The first place where My best friend Anupinder showed me how to stand againt the bullies, How to take it on even if it was 5-6-10 guys against me alone.. I can never forget the night where we were challenged to dare to come to there room and we did , we got beat up so bad , but we went there and Anup stood with me .. Thank you anup whereever you are , I know you are looking at me .. Thanks


2. Punjab (Chandigarh): My birth place. Muktsar, Lived in chandigarh, Studied in the princly city of patiala, started to Tie the turban the patiala style 🙂 All my schooling in in patiala.. our first family house was in patiala.. Muktsar where all my summer vacations were spent every year each year..  Chandigarh where I spent my youth my college Govt college for men… the day when I grew up to be a man .. Was in chandigarh .. Now i am here in uk and all i ever dream of is Punjab mera punjab…

3. Haryana (Chandigarh): Since Chandigarh is the common capital, so I have been to Haryana too! Chandigarh is where i grew up to be a man … Then my second job as a computer instructor in panchkula and a city called Pehowa in a school ..

NCC days .. Visitied Hisar for some exam, was staying in a dharamshala me and a few friends from chandigarh, the NCC guys from hisar were looking after us , and one guy JOHAR walked in and for some odd reason,  we became friends and then spent the next week or so with him in hisar, roaming around have fun, and Now he is so close to us all.. Makes me wonder how things happen, He had just come to drop a guy who had got some food for us ..

 4.  Himachal Pradesh (Shimla)  :- Wow what a state , have our second house in a place called Solan , where we spent some summer vacations to get away from the heat.. the uphill trips once or even twice a week on our scooters and bikes, the buying of the beer and the chicken from bedi chicken corner … the stupid dares of drivign all the way to shimla without a shirt in middle of the winters …
I also worked in scool as a teacher Pinegorve where we got the actor Iqbal khan my student …
The attending of youth festival in horitulture university solan, me for declamation.  and best was Ravjote was with us in evening participated in fancy dress and he went is as HE MAN.. and wont the first place funny ..

A very bad accident on way to shimla leading to a few people dieing , i cant forget …

Kullu-Manali .. Trips , walking the Rohtang pass.. and then The school I taught took the kids for a tour to a place called Rewalsar just above Mandi .. had such a great time with the little boys …

5. Uttaranchal (Dehradun):  A visit to that place just a few  years ago with someone special, the drive from chandigarh to dehradun.. where I met two more beautiful people …
The regulare drives to places like Paonta sahib, and the back road to, visiting the fossil park , and driving through the river beds .. then Sarangal my mate deciding we need to fish in the river .. wasting hours and finding nothing …

Also had my SSB interview for Air force, cleared the PABT test there , apprantely you only get one chance in ur life to do it , Pilot aptitude battery test .. The 5 days there visitng Sahastradhara and other places and also finding How the SSB works where out of 200+ people Two got selected one was the son of Admiral Pashrishia .. Obviously.. and the other was a sikh boy who refused to go to a hanuman mandir because he was anti Hindus and hated hindus .. How he got through dont know ..

6. Rajasthan (Jaipur):  ooooh the beautiful Rajasthan .. the trips we had to jaipur, how an i forget the Motorbike trip we had from chandigarh to Ahmedabad, spent so much time there and then having that fateful accident . the bike completely going kaput , us me and my cousin lying on the middle of the road almost dead … thankfully a good truck driver stopping by helping us and we were saved …
The views at mount abu.. and early morning at ajmer … Beautiful the hot channa masalaa  ceeee ceeeee ceeee with the mirchi… Rajasthan is beautifullll…

also had a school trip to Rajasthan in 7th class..

7. Uttar Pradesh (Lucknow): NCC vayu sainik camp , one of the best we were the KINGS .. because the year before we went some of the boys from chandigarh had given such a bashing to everyone , that everyone feared us.. This was the best camp I attended, mets some lifelong friends, Also met a sweet girl , my first love 🙂  but both did not have the courage to express it , now after many many years We found out..
Food in camp was so bad, but had plenty of booze.. 
Had some fun moments , selling water as kerosene to someone for a dozen bananas..

8. Bihar (Patna)

10. West Bengal (Kolkata): The trips to Kolkata for summer vacations.. the three days of travel in punjab mail, chandigarh to howrah.. beautiful memories .. pity did not have mobile phones or camera to click picture..  Various people there the ponds in each locality and us kids wanting to catch fish..
the loud shrieks of ladies for occasions.. Sandesh .. going site seeing.. visiting the victoria memorial,  a house built as a ship, Howrah bridge .. the boat trip down the hoogly…
11. Orissa  (Bhubaneswar) :- the worst city that could ever come in my life , completely ruined me and my worst nightmare.. one of the worst phases on my life which has completely changed me into what i am now .. maybe a very bad person … though spent a lot of time in hotels there mayfair was very good stayed there about 3 -4 times now , and visiting Puri .. staying in a hotel called toshali.. was goood …

12. Sikkim (Gangtok)   :- NCC I had airwing so went on a trekking trip there, Started from Kalimpong and ended in Gangtok , the beautiful forest and all the places that we saw Amazing, the monastary at rumket on way ..  So many places on way I seem to have forgotten most of the places.

13. Arunachal Pradesh (Itanagar)

14. Assam (Dispur)  :- Again Ncc took me there too.. Had some good times while camping there .. but sadly dont remeber any of the places
15. Tripura (Agartala)
16. Nagaland (Kohima)

20. Madhya Pradesh (Bhopal): 7 days in bhopal to attend the SSB interview Twice once for army and once for air wing.. the idiots rejected me a both the times …

22. Gujarat (Gandhinagar) : Ahmedabad was another place where holidays got spent, My eldest maasi shifted from kolkata to ahmedabad and her two sons my best friends and my brothers , We had fun time , as mentioned earlier the trip on motorbike was to meet them up 🙂
A funny thing met a person there Milkha became very good friends, he had never been to punjab but had a Enfield , so taught him how to ride the bike, you know having the heel on the foot rest, with the foot down. legs a bit wide, back straight .. arms straight and then driving at 10 or 15 KMPH speed … dag dag dag dag The beauty of the BIKE…

23. Maharashtra (Mumbai): Mumbai again just for holidays , my dad brought us for a family holiday , Then i came twice for fun roamed around , Gateway of india, Taj , Leopolds , marine drive , water world had some good time there .. the beach eating all that Chat , gol gappe etc ..

Met a friend on interent who lives there and now is such a good friend stayed with him, met his family .. some good memories


24. Goa (Panjim):

Andhra Pradesh (Hyderabad ): Hyderabad Spent almost a month there , remember the Tank bund, then there  was mandir all white marlbe i dont remember the name, Stayed in a hostel with some guys who had come to do a marine course..  My money finished they gave me money, to a unknow person .. strange.. The Char minar ..  and the biryani yummy


26. Tamil Nadu (Chennai) :School trip of south.. The beaches there were good, met actor Rajnikant there had food with actress Rati agnihotri .. they were doing some shooting of some movie ..


27. Karnataka (Bengaluru):
28. Kerala (Thiruvananthapuram) : Again school trip of south, at Kochi were invited on to this Ship, Dont remember much other than the bakc water how beautiful they were .. No idea where the places or what state they are in Madurai and Kodai kanal  Awesome places


29. Delhi – Delhi was Local for us, we would pick our bikes and come to the city do the work and return back the same day, yes once my darling cousin wanted to see his GF and we came all the way to see her and be with her for an hour i guess , then all the way back to chandigarh..

Now the landing in delhi airport to find my cousin Sukhi standing there with a bottle of daroo and chicken.. standing in the car park of the airport till 4 am in morning drinking and talking remembering old days..
Standing by the road side, a police man came for towing, my cousin gave him 100Rs and he said ok the moment he said ok my cousin say “AB yahin rukenge dubara tang nahin karna “.. the cop saying ji sahib and moving away

There’s still a lot to explore in our Incredible India and I still have a lot of places to visit…

Tag time again… “If…..then” Tag !!

I was tagged by  Renu, and harshad so here I am…

If I were a month…..Then It has to be November , I was born in the month 11/11 what a coincidence and looking forward to this year 11/11/11.

If I were a day of the week….Then I would pick a Friday.. Well after Friday I have Two days off and its time to sleep in late, no rush rush… So friday is always welcome as It has a wonderful feeling that tomorrow is a holiday and I just Love it zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

If I were a time of day….  Then -When i was in india i loved the morning time , since i use to go for a run upto the sukhna lake and it use to be so pleasant , the early morning birds singing, people on walks all cheerful .. that was the best time cause as the day proceeds eahc one has a frown on the face .. Now also i guess its still morning

If I were a season….Then I have to be wrong here, I would want to be all the seasons cause each season has a beauty in itself, the autumn has all that beautiful foliage , lovely colours, Winters has its snow I love snow.. Summer offcourse has its heat which is quiet bearable here and offcourse i can show off my perfect ONE PACK..  and Spring too the seeds germinating it has a new life all over

If I were a planet…Then I  would like to be Earth for sure one must love what one has

If I were a sea animal… Then I would be a big Blue whale.. So big and huge yet such a docile creature.. keeps one its own, doesnot do any harm to anyone

If I were a direction….Then I would be northWest … Cause thats the direction to my home.. Chandigarh-India from where i am now …

If I were a sound…I will go with what Renu and say a Flute its so soothing and serene.. Back home in india there use to be Pinjore gardens where an old guy , a chain smoker would dit in a dry bed of fountain and he would play the flute it was mesmerising.. can still remember him WOWOWOW
