Continuing from part one How to live and Die (1) – Sad post and part Two How to live and Die (2 and 3)- My Views on what I think are some of the points that one needs to keep in mind to have a good Life and Die a peaceful death, the first point as I said is health.. as Health is Wealth., Then comes MONEY, I would actually put MONEY on par with Health, as lets be truthful in todays day and age MONEY is very important, Then comes having a place of your own called HOME , especially if you own your own house.

So moving on I think that there is a particular trait in us human beings that we should try to get rid of and that is “ENVY“, we all have it, A BIG FAT LIAR is the person who says he/she does not Envy.

The biggest envy we have is of that particular person who has done better than us, OH YES we all do that sometimes consciously or sometimes sub-consciously. I don’t know why do we do that or how does it concern us But in all these thoughts and in all this time spent in envying them we usually do not see how much hard work they have put in to get where they are.

It is not easy to reach high, takes a lot of hard work, heartaches, we lose a lot of people in that race to reach the top, seldom do we stand still to think is it WORTH it, reaching that particular position, or in trying to earn more money is it worth losing a good friend. By the time we stand still to think it is already too late what is lost is gone, I have a few friends who are doing just that, to become a manager or to get that extra pay grade they forget that their 4 years kid does not see them all day long, by the time they reach home the kid is asleep. Just spending a SUNDAY with the kid is not good enough, the Sunday too is spent most of time on phone calls or getting to grips what was missed in the week, paying of bills, renewing of this or that.

I have seem some very rich people not being able to enjoy a full meal in peace, YES they are a managing director of a company but having their dinner with the phone glued to the ear is not what I see as ideal situation. Thankfully I am pleased that I have stopped getting into this rat race, I am happy with what every I have, its enough to feed me all my life and maybe half the life of my next generation to.

Due to work and all there is only one meal in a day that I get to eat at home and I enjoy having it because I make sure I switch off my phone or put it on silent once I come back home.

I think it is this ENVY that makes us do all that, because we are envious of someone making so much money or reaching a particular position it makes us think about ourself , which in turn then makes us more frustrated WHY Can I Not have that, WHY cant I get that.. WELL you can but do give a thought at all the hard work put in and what all have these rich people lost on the way, Are you willing to give up all that!!!

So if we can get rid of this ENVY, I am sure we can have a smooth life.

What do you think people.. ?????

Disclaimer: This post does not intend to make any one sad, But please don’t read if you are in a happy mood, as this is going to spoil it 🙂

It is strange how your mind works when things are not going according your way, or life is becoming a turmoil for one reason to another. Nothing seems to be working, And have you realised when that happens, what all we do just to make sure it gets ok. Whatever we believe in goes out of the window for a six, I hardly use to believe in horoscopes or sun signs, rather I use to lecture people as to why do they believe in all this silliness, but saying that in the early part of previous year I spend a lot of money on horoscope readers , I don’t know why I did that, or how I got stuck with one of this website and now it has become so difficult to get rid of them. The emails they send the words they use , it seems so real that they can help you out for sure , only to find out that what has to happen will happen. I ended up buying these stones that are supposed to alter destiny and bladdy blah 🙂 ….

On top of all that we have this habit of trying to keep everyone happy, I am one of those who tries to keep everyone happy, BUT What makes people happy, how can we make others happy when we are unhappy, we as a person need to smile to make others smile, so what do we as an individuals need to do , to make sure we can get happiness and in process maybe make some of the people around us happy.. ALTHOUGH I DOUBT it, that it is ever gonna happen for whatever reason.

I read a lot of books in the previous one year, Done a few bits and pieces here and there , but no matter what I do .. it’s very hard to please everyone and also find that MANTRA for happiness for one-selves or others ..

Last year taught a few things, that things don’t happen as you want them to happen or even as you plan them to take place.

Some of the stuff that I have picked up, in all this chaos is that I feel, the most important thing a person needs is their Health – we need to be on top of that, because if I am sick then I am not going to make many people happy as they might think I am becoming a burden on them, no matter what we say , how close we are , how much they love us , in the end we will become a burden so good health is important. if I am healthy it keeps my mind happy too .. Any small hiccup in health , any small ailment, however trivial, will always put a dampener and take away something from our happiness for sure.

An experience taught me maybe the mantra for my happiness (or so I hope) , which when I think now, I can say with confidence that I “THINK” I am not afraid of death, I am ready for it as and when it comes (the horoscope lady has said I will live for a Long long time 🙂 , which actually made me laugh because in my family the male’s have died quiet young, My great Grand father was only in his 60’s , my grandfather was the only one who lived to be 84, my dad himself was only in his 60’s when he passed away, so if I take the average then I have already lived more than half my life 🙂 )

Anyway I went on a tangent there, as I was saying that I Have made my peace with the ups and down of life but I fear one thing, what I fear the most is that I would not want to have bad health, or be in some sort of bed ridden problem, because then I will be a burden on someone which I surely don’t want to be as being a burden will not make them HAPPY. Although thanks to the way things work here in UK, I have sorted out a few things 🙂 Money can do wonders, I tell you , I have spent wisely I believe in taking insurances and making sure the clause is added in the will that when I die the money is used from my account .. Although saying that I do owe some money which to my horror I got to know , but working rigorously to sort that out soon.. 🙂 (more on that later)

What I ideally want is that when my time comes, when the lord of death knocks on my door, I go like a man without taking any grievances against anyone. I would ideally like to go without regret too but in my case I have a lot of them, and also go thinking that those I have done wrong against forgive me , but that is not in my hands.

When death comes it comes swiftly, maybe without pain I just would want to close my eyes , go to sleep and never wake up.. that would be ideal.

I have made up a list of things that I think a person should have to have a happy life, One I have shared HEALTH.. rest will share later on .. Don’t want to make this post something that will make the readers UNHAPPY .. he he he he 🙂

Right since you have come so far let me lighten the mood .. Here is a THEORY .. I wonder how PRACTICAL it will be .. you see

People who Drink get DRUNK
People who get Drunk, Go to SLEEP
People who go to Sleep, Do no SIN
People who do no Sin, Go to HEAVEN
So. SO. Let us all drink and

GO TO HEAVEN

How about it then.. Cheersssssss … SMILEEEEEEeee and Keep Smiling

PS :- I know some of you are going to ask why am i thinking that way , don’t worry I am not dieing or anything 🙂 just as the blog says me and my random thoughts .. some of them sharing here

Here we are a day away from the new year, First of all let me wish everyone reading this a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR..

The year 2012 has been Up and down and for some reason, I quite fancy that , else if not for these ups-downs life would be so boring.  The ups-downs sort of spice up life, When the down comes we somehow feel the world has come to an end or the earth below has shattered, we forget that time will change , smile will come back and it will be hunky dory once again.

All through the year I have met so many new people over my blog which has always been a highlight of my years, but that came with some heartache too , as some near-dear one’s no longer wish to know me. What hurts more is that there has been no reason for that , well at least thats what I feel, but unless I am told I would not know.

Relationships this has always been a heartache for me, for some reason it seems I get too close or friendly or emotionally attached to people TOO SOON, the rest of the world does not work that way and although I have been trying my best to change myself, I let myself down every time. Hopefully one of these days I will get or become as the world is 🙂  I had it in my bucket list last year too, It is still there in my bucket list for the new year.

There have been a few highlights in this year, some worth mentioning change in job,  Then the Queens medal which was right in the middle of the year 🙂 , Another wish or dream came true in the last few weeks of buying a house for homecoming.  Along with all the good parts came a few bad ones too, Which as i mentioned earlier made the year a bit spicy.

I had commented on a blog and that comment was shredded to bits, but it was such a good feeling to see a lot of people standing by me , That was not all the worst time was yet to come, but I would not like to mention it here now, its gone and does not mean anything any more.

I had promised a friend that I will participate in a category, that she has started for this  MONTH OF THE YEAR WRITING PROMPT 2012 – SEASON 3, but it seems I have failed her yet again, I just cant remember everything that happened in all this year, especially month wise.

So all in all I have had a wonderful year, I had just commented on a article that what will it be without the ups-downs , So  here’s hoping 2013 is equally good, with all its ups and downs to spice up the life. I don’t mind that at all as long as I have all the lovely people around.

I also want to say a Big Thank you to everyone who reads all the crap I write, All the ones who visit me and All you beautiful human beings who have made this blog a special place.  I had written a small poem for everyone during the year , which I am resharing here again as I still mean it with all my heart.  To all My friends and All who visit this blog.

Over years I have made some very good friends Even if we have not met , or chatted maybe talked once or twice over the years, But It does seem that I know them very well reading there articles. I have some favourites too, and for some I am favourite.. Let me please Take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to everyone who click on the link knowingly or unknowingly .. Thank you for all the comments, a lot of you know and I have been blamed with that too, That I am comment hungry.. OH YES no denying that I love the comments coming , But If I have forced you to come then please I am sorry.

Some of you have stood by me in my personal problem times and Good times .. Some of you hate me , some love me .. What I have found is its true things change.. Change in Inevitable , Some have just brushed past, Some who stood by me THEN have turned their back now… hence my writing that it has been a roller coaster ride.

Thank you for all the emails you have sent, The phone calls and Sms Messages.

So this post is dedicated to All the people who read what I write.  The ones who are younger than me let me say I love you all , All who are elder to me I respect you all.

Over the time I am sure I have offended a lot of you out there Let me take this opportunity to say Sorry to anyone and everyone who I let down for any reason..

I am sorry

Please let By gone’s be By-gone’s and let’s be friends again, life is too short to hold grudges of any kind.  I am sorry VERY SORRY from the bottom of my heart.

Chaman main ikhtilat rangon boo se baat banti hai
hum hi hum hain to kya hum hain
tumhi tum ho to kya tum ho

I would like to Extend my hand of friendship to all those who are there..  God bless you all, have a good day , Thanks for reading this And heres WISHING YOU ALL ONCE AGAIN A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR..  May all your dreams come true in the year 2013, May you dream more Dreams.

GOD BLESS and Love you all..

Let the Coming new year be better than all that have gone by , Vow to do something that you have always wanted to do but could not find time to do so ,Call up a forgotten friend, Drop an OLD GRUDGE and replace it with some pleasant memories , Vow not to make a promise that you don’t think you can keep, Stand up and walk Tall, . You’ll look Ten times younger. Don’t be afraid to say I love you Say it again .. They are the best words in the world.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Dhoni’s men could have adandoned the England Tour

UPDATE – AFTERTHOUGHT :- This post is not on cricket, or on the point that should india have stayed in UK or abandones the tour,  I am talking of the point where this person is Puting two incidents at equal PAR.. If we think that english would then that makes us ONE step better then them that we stayed and played circket for which we are paid. But saying the Mumbai attacks equivalent to the Looting by Teenage/young people .. without GUNS Heavy Equipment, Without Shooting people on the STreet, Without careful planning .. Thats the point I am trying ot make .. How can the Same two incidents be same … In one people Innocent people were Killed , they lost their life to careful Planning .. In the second it was nothing but LOOTING.

I was reading the above article on the online version of this Supposedly best Indian news papers .. It made me really mad , On the thought of such People who are supposedly better writers .. And have written so many articles. How can they write such silly stuff, The gist of the article was that the indian team could/should have abondoned the entire England tour at the sign of Riots and taken the easy way out to save themselves the humility of being beaten fair and square by a better team.

This writers tries to  put the two episodes that of  26th November 2008 Mumbai attacks  and of August 2011 UK Riots as same, I mean IS HE THAT ______.. he is supposed to be a journalist and times of India is again supposedly a good newspaper , why it allows such article to be published I can’t put my mind to it. The Rationale to compare the two episodes is ridiculous.

Well let me take the opportunity here to Tell this person Mr. Saibal Bose the two incidents that happened were not same .. People died in the Mumbai attacks , it was an attack on the nation by some people, It was a fully planned and well organised Attack. What happened in UK was some youth getting together and going on a Looting spree, YES that’s what it was LOOTING.. not even rioting which the media in India  created such a big issue of. The terrorists were looking to kill as many possible, put fear in the people,  The looters so-called rioters had no such intention Unless they found DHONI or TEAM walking on streets with Plasma Tele’s .

What happened in Mumbai was one of the worst terrorist attacks on our nation and the Security for the English team which was touring India in those days had a perfect good reason to think of the safety of its men, as they could have easily been targeted , which sadly we all saw .. when the Sri Lankan team came under attack  in Pakistan the following year.

The Looting that happened here in UK, was not targeted at people, It was some groups in need of the latest Armani suits, Or Iphones or Televisions that too FREE.. That is all it was about, No one was carrying heavy weaponry , targeting People killing .. Why would the indian team feel scared of this .. I don’t know.

Is the intelligence so ridiculous, are the security personnel that follow the indian team, or advice them on security so silly they literally thought that Indian team was being targeted by teenage groups of people running with free goodies off an electrical shops..

I found it really hilarious that this person is suggesting that the indian team should have abandoned , what came MORE of a surprise was the long list of comments people saying yes it would have been good..

I enjoyed reading the article where the Writer is thinking of what will happen if indian team had come back, the english press would have called them Chicken.. I mean how can someone think of what has not happened.

This is what made me laugh out loud , This is what the writer writes “If the Football association can call off a friendly involving the English team, there surely was a case for the Indians to seriously contemplate returning home. Particularly with the team not doing too well. It recalls, the English team wasn’t doing too well either when they returned home in 2008. Going by India’s batting on the first day of the Edgbaston Test, perhaps India would have done well to come back. They had a good enough excuse to return, regroup and go back at a later date, better prepared.”

For those who are Reading Let me make it very clear the FOOTBALL match was cancelled because of the large number of police officers needed to police the event, not because the players were thought to be at risk, The police had to control the Looting .. use officers in that ..

Can you believe it , A writer writing this in a major paper..

Really I would like all of you to go and read this article, and why Times of india found this nonsense even worthy, Comparing the two incidents, I wish he had done some research on this , To me its a disgrace of how small the thinking is , even to compare.

What risk is a youth stealing some Nike shoes to a Team of players who have security around them.. The english team came back to India once all was settled and security was good, I hope people don’t forget that , It is also a fact that BCCI wanted the matches to take place because of the money that they would have lost.

I really would like people to know what they are saying and stop writing such silly notes just to gain some publicity

Some of the comments I will just copy paste ..

1. Suresh says:

We do not care what English people think about us or win their hearts. We, Indians, play fairly and win the game against England. You are right on the money. We, Indian people, needed to stand up for our team rather than just criticizing our team and applaud White men. we should be wise to leave the tour in the middle when the opportunity happened as England team did to us. When we have courage to stand up to white man? We have more than 1 Billion people. Why we accept white man for everything and critize our team? We still world champs. One more fact:England invented the game of cricket but they never won one day world championship. We won twice. So Indian team is better and we are proud of you.

 2. j venkatesh says:

I think we are yet to come out of the colonial mentality and that is why we are subdued in all aspects. We are brave only when we fight among ourselves. The writer is perfect in his view that we should have come back citing the arson and looting that was taking place in front of their hotel and therefore we could have avoided the disaster at Birmingham. Regarding sporting spirit, it applies to us only. If the same thing happens to our players English/Australians/Proteas would not have relented and would justify the dismissal only as per the cricket rules. Unlike English coach and captain, our coach and skipper would not have gone to the opponents dressing and beg to reconsider the appeal. But ECB and other white nations forget their coffers are being filled up only because of BCCI.

The last post I did was a week ago, I have never been like this not to post anything especially with the wonderful ideas of Wordless Wednesday and Thursday challenge, you at least get Two post a week , But it did not work out for me for this week…  I got a lot of posts in my draft, I have opened them to see if I can finish them off but not that lucky somehow after a few days the chain of thought disappears .. Ah well 😦

Week gone by has been interesting a few ups and downs .. Learnt a good lesson one being that Money is not everything and people who are rich and posh do have a clip on their shoulders and no matter what they say the I am superior or the arrogance factor does come into one with money.

This is what happened well this is my side of the story so I may be wrong , I had a wedding to attend on sunday,  The family are rich VERY RICH had about 1200+ people invited , though the hall booked was not big enough , soon the AC gave way and we were sweating.

I was sitting on a table with a couple of my friends one kid when two families came and sat with us , the ladies about 4 of them well well dressed , I would not need to ROB a BANK to be rich could have just robbed them for they had enough gold on them to make me rich… At one stage the thought did come to my mind to follow the ladies and somehow get my hands on those jewelled necklaces AH LA Amitabh bachan style trying to steal the necklace off the princess whatever movie that was ..

They were talking fine all was going well till the FOOD came, now what had happened was there was a kid sitting on one chair who was having something in the plate , he went away to some other table , Now this Ladies Kid came late and sat on the same seat .. (YOU WITH ME READERS 🙂 )…  but the plate was dirty … so the starters came we were having them and enjoying but this poor kid was waiting for a new plate to come ..

So many guests.. not many to serve, the coming of the new plate was taking its time …

Anyway the Non-Veg starters finished the kid could not have any, So I got up and went to the kitchen to get him a plate, got him that .. Now we needed food, So one of my friends called a waiter and asked him to get us another tray , about 10 minutes later a tray came over, I got the tray and handed over to the kid to put as much as he wants which he did.. the lady I am assuming his mum or grand mum.. took the tray and put it next to her , after the kid had his fill I got up to pick the trey 🙂 Well this is when this lady looked at me , Caught hold of the Tray and Says “Eh Saade Lai hai”..  (This is for US)

I was shocked WHAT.. you might be thinking what am i saying but i did not expect her to behave like that you are sitting on a table where we all share the food, I mean it’s just food can always ask them to get more , I mean in indian wedding food and drink is never short and in our culture you generally get to eat as much as you want ..

Maybe I am wrong but i did feel a bit awkward, WON’T YOU PEOPLE 🙂

What made me smile was when she and the kid could not eat any more she looks at me and says I can have it , I said no thank you 🙂 One of my friends was helping with the serving,  He brought us fresh and steaming food again, So I asked the woman here she can have more .. 🙂  don’t know if i did right or wrong but I did feel this is not the right way to behave especially when you are sitting on a big table and all are sharing food.. Tell me if I am wrong ?

I also felt that if the Lady was so worried about the kid , why could she not share her Plate with him, I mean does it matter her son or grandson , I mean I am sure all you mom’s there would not mind in giving your plate to the little kid or even sharing the same plate. She was busy enjoying the food all the time without giving a piece to the kid.

So one might have money but one can’t buy manners with that money 🙂 ..

That was that..  The rest of the week was very busy with lot of work and things happening , there was the Take That concert in Birmingham so had a lot of work with that..

Thankfully its Friday today .. Weekend is here and I am going to LONDONNnnnnnnnnnnnnnn 🙂 till monday night , It is work but but but evenings and nights is with my cousins so for a change all 5 of us will be together for 2 nights in london .. so cheers to that …

Thank you to many who have emailed asking If i was alive and why I did not post although it was only a week Thank you , yes thank you for your love everyone , I am alive I am sure everyone will know when I am no more 🙂

Have a great Weekend Everyone .. smile have fun and eat a lottttt I would say drink too cause that’s whats going to happen this side and this time hopefully no one will want to eat the whole tray 🙂

Thanks everyone for always being there 🙂 Have a great Wednesday…

October 1984 was the day when humanity , brotherhood went for a six in a country which boasted of being the biggest democracy and even bigger in diversity.  Its been 27 years now to the day when the mobs were given free hand to do as they please in the wake of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s assassination, the mob whose one target was to find a Sikh and kill.. neighbours became foes. People who were there with you, for you in thick and thin before that day, The ones who boasted of friendship.

That massacre raises a lot of SERIOUS questions about the autonomy of  law and order machinery,  It all went for a six in those three days. Human rights had no meaning.  Then came another Blow , that too from a chosen leader who supposedly was educated and intelligent , Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, He had the audacity to say in his first public meeting that such things happen or are caused  by the fall of a mighty tree ,  Instead of  condemning it all it seemed he likened the carnage.

In the Drama that has unfolded over the years, lots of govts. came and went , each promising justice but that has never come I mean barely 10-15 people have been convicted for murders committed , the official death toll was 2,733 .. Where is the logic behind all this. How can this be justified ?

Does this not cast a poor reflection on the integrity of India’s criminal justice system ?

There has not even been a condolence motion to the victims of the 1984 carnage, the human rights in this country has suffered a terrible setback, Such is the disdain displayed by the highest institutions of India,  If such are the deals meted out to the people of this country what can we expect the country to do in case of foreign criminals doing the same to us in our own country.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh himself acknowledged in Parliament years ago that despite official inquiries into the 1984 carnage, “We all know that we still do not know the truth, and the search must go on.”

How is it possible, No wonder the indian people are loosing faith in their own country .  When other countries commemorated the 25 years of the bloodshed, India was still quiet as they were too wary of the fact that if  any sort of Commemoration is done for the victims, it would be an insult to Indira Gandhi

Is her Murder bigger then the Murders of  (Official numbers) 2,733?

Even when we were under the RAJ, The british publicly condemned General Dyer for taking the action against the innocent in Jallianwala Bagh, , a Public committee called “HUNTER COMMITTEE” was created, it was endorsed by the house of commons in UK, and Dyer was removed from the army unceremoniously. But India as a country could not do so, HAS NOT DONE SO, in spite of 27 long years gone by. So much so that Independent India has FAILED To measure up to the benchmarks set even by the Raj.

All this has done is give the  communal parties a big thumbs up, well we all know that these are the parties that organised the killings of Muslims in Maharashtra in 1993 and Gujarat in 2002.

We talk of Equality but is there any equality, when there is so much Indifference towards the minorities, I mean if Sikhs can suffer this, imagine what would a Dalit in an obscure village feel.

What does that tell us about the mentality of  the citizens who are still voting for those tainted ministers , I remember the words used by our neighbour in Chandigarh, In those days when the elections took place, She came over to our house and categorically shouted “VOTE PAO HATH NU”.. as the hand was a symbol for congress then and this was the neighbours with whom we had lived since I was born. With whom we were closer than our relatives. Yet when it happened there was only one reality Hindu – Sikh .. all the Love was forgotten.

To this day there are places where more proof of genocide are being discovered, even in January 2011 a place Hondh-Chillar, where 32 Sikhs were killed on November 2, 1984, was discovered in northern Haryana, and in March 2011 another place near Pataudi, was discovered.  The official death toll is much higher than that.

“The discovery of more Sikh massacre victims after nearly three decades shows the reluctance of successive Indian governments, despite numerous commissions of inquiry, to get to the truth and prosecute those responsible for the anti-Sikh violence,” said Meenakshi Ganguly, South Asia director at Human Rights Watch.

It is sad that there are cases being fought on foreign soil against the Congress Govt, Yet no one has batted an eyelid in the country itself.

The 2011 WikiLeaks cable leaks revealed that the United States was convinced about the complicity of Indian Government ruled by the Indian National Congress in the riots, and termed it as “opportunism” and “hatred” of the Congress government against Sikhs.

I wonder what is to become of this great nation, Will the culprits ever be charged for any crime or is it that only the common will have to suffer.
