Edited just before pressing the Publish button 🙂 DISCLAIMER:–  I have been thinking should I put a disclaimer lest Karni sena comes after me for writing anything that may be against the Rajputs. But after reading the post a few times I am sure I haven’t written anything to say otherwise, but Nevertheless This Post titled ‘Padmaavat’ is based on my experience watching the movie- and reading about the chaos that took place Because of  Making of the epic ‘Padmaavat’  which according to the makers was based on the EPIC work of fiction by Sufi poet Malik Muhammad Jayasi. 

I have written this article on what I saw in the movie, I fully believe in the valour-Legacy-Grandeur -Honour and Courage of Rajputs. 

Last night saw the Movie Padmaavat (still can’t figure out why the name change) but anyway , not Very impressed with the movie(will come to that later), BUT Impressed with the way movie is full of honour, valour , the grandeur of Rajput Heritage and off course the obsession of one ruler which brought so much ruthlessness and chaos . Throughout the movie I was looking for any sign that depicted otherwise as I Couldn’t understand all the hoopla that went around in India over the movie by a Sect which thought otherwise so much so that threats were made against the leading Actress.

The obsession shown by Alauddin in the movie has surely been transferred over to this particular sect as they have created so much chaos and ruckus in the country all for some political mileage,  India believes in Dirty politics which brings cheap tricks to gain some sort of mileage, Throughout the movie I just could not figure out WHAT IS IT THAT the KARNI sena had an issue with, why would they send hooligans to rough up the director Mr. Bhansali on the sets of  the movie.  I said Hooligans because no one in the sane mind would do that, especially if there is a movie being made which is based on a bit of history even if it is fiction and a bit of tradition – rituals of those days.

With all this Extracurricular activities involved around the movie it sure had garnered a lot of publicity which has helped in people taking notice of it, hence the house full last night,  it is very rare that a hall is Full here in UK for any movie, maybe on the first couple of days of the release but otherwise I have never been to a movie that would have so many people in the hall.

Coming back to the issue as I was saying I did not see any sign which would put the rich heritage – culture of the Rajput’s to shame or put it in bad light, so what were the people protesting against ?  What’s made me a bit angrier is why would the court or the censor board change the name of the movie, this surely shows that the people protesting have had some sort of Win.

Why do we always bow down to such antics ?

How can a group of people who believe in doing such activities which can never be good for a building nation be allowed or rather why were they allowed , with all the Heritage-culture of Rajputs how can Rajputs themselves do this.

There were so many Dialogues in the movies that made me think REALLY, is this what is the current heritage, go and give threats about beheading the leading actress, Women were respected and it was a matter of AAN-BAAN-SHAAN of the Rajputs culture, as a beacon of courage and sacrifice but obviously the people involved do not believe in all that,  it did not stop the Sena so deeply concerned about the honour of a historical figure, from issuing a threat to the lead actress.. in my mind its called hypocrisy.

The funny part is I did read somewhere that some members had vowed to perform JAUHAR themselves if the movie was released, where are these members. ( I am not saying that they should but HEY HO..)

So much damage has been done, buses –cars – bikes burnt, public property damaged.. WHY and no one questioned about it, Rajput culture does not portray this. The mob even attacked a bus full of KIDs how shameful is that, leave the Rajput culture which religion-caste-culture says that.. Shame on those who were part of the group that terrified the little children SHAME ON YOU..

Padmaavat is all about the Strength, Rajput principles of valour, fair play and aan, baan and shaan BUT sadly all that has been undone by the Modern Day descendants- The organised gang called Karni Sena. All these cowardly threats, violence and dastardly , unreasonable behaviour surely shows it that way for this particular Sect.

I grew up reading the brave stories of Maharana Pratap of Mewar,  Prithvi Raj Chauhan Of Ajmer, just wondering what these brave heroes would have done to the current mob who are protecting the identity of Rajputs in the ways which we have just witnessed.

So much COURT time wasted imagine all the petitions that have been filed , all that time could have been used for something which was more important as such justice takes many many years to be done in our nation adding such stupid petitions only add nightmares to the genuine cases.

I do  think that our leaders, our government has a lot of questions to reply to , they should have made sure such stupidity did not happen in the first place, they do need  to learn how to uphold rights of people who cannot defend themselves from organised gangs like the one that did all this Antics.

The funny thing is all the above happened without anyone seeing the movie or reading the script.. it was all based on baseless Allegations or rumours, I shiver to think what if there was something in the movie which was derogatory.

The movie has shown the Rajputs in such a Great light, all that splendor-grandeur, all that Glory and Honour It just goes to show how utterly despicable we have become and can be as a Society and where we the modern era Indians have come to. I wish we nowadays are able to show such honour and bravery more often.

Coming back to the movie, I must say I did like the movie although I do feel it could have been a bit more epic, when compared to other Bhansali movies this one was not that great,  Not very impressed with the directorship of Mr. Bhansali , some of the computer effects were bad, The character of Alauddin Khilji seemed to be more researched than the others, I felt The three Actors have done such a Brilliant job.

I know everyone is going on about how Ranveer singh (@RanveerOfficial) looks BUT I must say I felt Shahid Kapoor (@shahidkapoor) was a force in himself in the movie he looked the part of Maharawal Ratan singh,  he looked Regal and with all the costumes , the ambience the Palace, surroundings  he has delivered a ROYAL performance,  Immaculate and @deepikapadukone Looks so radiant in the last few scenes , amazing Regal , divine.

Padmaavat nevertheless merits to be seen once If for nothing else, as a support against the bullies who created all the Chaos.

 

 

 

Charity – A Business

The Word Charity has the following meaning according to the Oxford dictionary

1.  An organization set up to provide help and raise money for those in need
2. The body of organizations viewed collectively as the object of fundraising or of donations
3.  The voluntary giving of help, typically in the form of money, to those in need.

No where it mentions that it is to become a business and that too a Multi Billion pound business, The executives or the board members earning a 6 figure salary.  These well-paid bosses of some good causes are nothing but ‘incompetent or wilfully blind’.

Some of the charities use tactics that are so brutal , an undercover report recently showed how the staff were ordered to be ‘brutal’ and ‘ferocious’ when asking for cash and told even the old and poor ‘have no excuse’ not to give.

The reason for this post is what happened last week although it probably shows how weak a person I am, but still I do blame the pressure tactics used.

Last week I was watching a Tv show and in the break there was a ad on how the children are suffering in Africa because of need for safe Water facilities.   It was a normal ad that they show for various other charities, asking us to Txt a particular number with the word Water.  So they can deduct 3 pounds from the account when the phone bill comes.

I did that and forgot about it , only to be reminded two days later by a txt that how thankful they are for the support blahdy blah..  T0 my surprise I also got a Phone call from some call centre but this time it was a tad bit different, The gentleman first wanted to explain to me what the charity #WATERAID did, how it was helping thanks to the people who were donating, Slowly the conversation changed to how good it would be if people could donate more often.

The person asked me if I would volunteer to pay some money every month Via direct Debit, I said I have donated what I could afford and wanted to since charity is a Voluntary thing, when I had more money I will do that again, But that did not stop the person on the other end to give up, He carried on with the sales pitch, playing on all the emotions that one could .. What if it was My kids or what if it was kids that I know of etc et, How water is so important, How since it is not safe water diseases are coming up.

He started from 12 or 15 pounds a month to start with, I made an excuse that I will think about it after march when I have had my Pay review , to which he was quick to say no issues we can set the direct debit that will start from March and Not January.

From 15 we went to 12 then to 10 and then in the end he came to 6 pounds a month, by this time I was completely made to realise what a SICK HEARTLESS person I am who can’t even pay that much to help in easing the suffering of the little children.

I ended up giving my bank details and setting a Direct debit.. NOW the reason for the post is that IS THIS RIGHT.  I am sort of forced to dish out money, Should these charities be calling like that, The whole Idea of the AD was to txt. a word and voluntarily pay a charity that was working for the good of the people.

This did not end here Since last Monday I have had at least 4 to 5 calls from various charities that are trying to help asking me if I could help, Have had Txt messages asking to reply to them if I wanted to donate 3 pounds or 5 pounds for various needs. How have they got hold of my number is a mystery.

Charity-donation etc is a personal issue why should we be getting cold calls from call centres trying to sell CHARITY.  This has left a bad taste, I have just only managed to get rid of another charity that has been hounding me in-spite of a direct debit set up for some money, now they want me to increase the amount.  I get at least half a dozen brochures, Letters everyday, With pictures of sick children who are suffering.

I mean is that right to have the tragedy that these kids are going through to be used like this to make money. The worst thing is that the whole of the amount that is generated is not used for the good of the people, Why does a CHARITY head or executive have a SIX FIGURE salary, I work 10 to 12 hours a Day, and then on Rest days I work overtime to make more money, My salary still does not add up to QUARTER of what these executives get.

I can also bet my life that these executives don’t even have a direct debit set up for a few pounds to go to charity.  Recently some of the leading charities have been exposed with these WRONG methods, it does put to shame the word CHARITY.  I have a few direct debits set up and Now I am thinking of cancelling all of them, Am I really doing any Good or am I just helping in paying the Salaries of these Executives and other office bearers. 

About me – Redoing it

Hi I have had a few emails asking me to update my about me page and asking me other questions , So I thought of putting up this post that I had written a few years back, It still stands correct .. hopefully you can know me a bit more after reading this one 🙂  Also there are some who have been emailing a couple of my friends asking them what sort of person I am , I don’t know why it is necessary to ask and why not ask me directly, (by all means please skip reading as its nothing but stupid stuff)..  I want to say to them

(they ask who Bikram is, Someone Tell me What DO I TELL THEM)

You know we go to some sites they ask us to create our profiles etc , and then write something about ourself .. The dating sites.. Blogging sites.. etc etc (yeah before everyone raises their eyebrows.. I am talking general.. I don’t visit dating sites , yeah Well actually not that OFTEN he he he )

So what do we write in there, do we know about ourselves so much as we think, or is it people around us who know us better.

Here is an attempt of what I think of myself Loads of people who read will differ because many of you have not met me.. or know me as a person.. But still I am assuming quiet a few would have an inkling of HOW I am.. “Liar, Honest, Pathetic, dependable etc etc , I have been called all these names.. ”

I think of myself as a Normal, common man having same aspirations as millions have, nothing out of blue.. I just want to be a millionaire, have tons of girl friends he he he .. no jokes apart..

Really I never had very high aspirations, I never had a thought of coming abroad, Not even till my final year in college. I was a normal kid, not good in studies but ok in sports.. Always wanted to be in the indian army..

Sat for the IMA exams 4 times cleared Each time, but for some reason SSB interview I was not good enough and for some odd reason I come abroad and am an officer here.. Not going through the SSB interview was one thing that hurt me, cause had not thought of any other thing, always was so sure I will get through the army.. Even joined a coaching place , talked to a few officers , my uncle was a brigadier , he was like There is no way I WILL NOT get through, it was on the BOARD.. anyway it happened and it HURT…

I am very emotional I must say, I have tears coming sometimes when I am alone thinking of stuff just random stuff.. don’t know if that is Pathetic or what…

I have made some wrong decisions and I accept them, but that’s what makes us what we are Today I think. It’s all these silly, stupid things we have all done while growing up that we Now KNOW are silly and stupid. If we had not then We would not know.

Back home in india I use to love going to movies or chilling with mates, We had such a big group, did some naughty things together, brings a smile on my face now.. Have had a pretty decent life so far. I have written about these incidents now and then ….

I miss people a lot, I remember almost everything that has happened so far, I can fairly remember the faces of all the people I know and there Names too.. And Yeah something weird I remember most of the Phone numbers. I also miss my home.

I hate people who are two-faced, to me IF you have said something or you have promised something then its a MAN’s word why should you step back from it AND or BUT In case you have to step back then you should be MAN enough to accept and be sorry , Rather than make excuses, which is the normal trend I feel nowadays, You promise something and when one cant do it then its easy to ignore thinking it will go away, I mean why yeah it will hurt if you own up, But then it makes it easier in life to move forward , to go and do the next thing…

I am of the belief that you should stand by your friends right or wrong, that’s what friends are for, no matter what, I rarely have made enemies but I am positive of one thing that if I cut off with someone than that person has no chance of being back in my good books 🙂 And if you are my enemy then You can bet your _ _ _ _ you will know it. I am not the one who will keep it in my heart , If I don’t like you .. You will be the first person to know about it, A bit rude but then that’s me and I don’t back down.. A lot of times things have been going fine but because of this attitude I have sometimes whirled the pool a bit, A bad point in me I know.

I hate a lot of things in me , and I try had to change that aspect of me.. 

Why am I so emotional

Why am I like this

Why does it matter to me if the world is collapsing, or the neighbour’s house is being burgled. Why do I have to stop when I see a guy following a girl and trying to pinch her purse or harass her, Who the hell is she or he to me .. WHY do I do that..

Why did I need to interfere when the guy who was drunk fell down on the pavement and Two other guys were going through his pockets and His mates who he had come with, were standing there being a spectator and Laughing over the stupidness of their friend.

These questions are constantly disturbing me, I constantly think of ways to change myself but I fail miserably …

Great. did it as I said its difficult to write about ourselves .. don’t know what else to write anyway this was something about me… Now all who read know a bit more about me 🙂

This is why WE NEED female Foeticide

Have a read and get Shocked, more then the program itself , well at least I was shocked.. but then maybe I get shocked easily

There is another side to the same coin of massive socially customary female infanticide:

In Indian society a dead female is socially accepted but an infertile one is not. As a result there are practically no effective mechanisms for population control. Indian population will not stop growing even up to and beyond 20 Billion ( when the increased death rate due to aging might equal the births due to fertility of youth ), except that if Indians continue to practice female infanticide on a massive scale then due to reduced numbers of fertile citizens the population growth will come down, and it might stabilize at around 10 Billion eventually.

To further explain this, if all female Indians were to become irreversibly infertile today then about nine months later the birth rate would be exactly zero. Population would be around 1300 million and going down at a rate of about 15 million per annum due to deaths. In just 20 years the population would be below 1 Billion, and still going down. That is the desired effect that official efforts at family planning could not produce in about seventy odd years of trying.

Female infanticide is India’s only known effective method of population control. Although by international standards even 10 Billion is a very big number, India really has no choice. The ages old habits developed in an uneducated people can neither be wished away nor safely ignored. As of now India simply cannot afford to let all the natural born girls live on to fertile adulthood.

An ages old habit of an uncivilized people has a good chance of doing what all the seventy odd years of Intra Uterine Devices ( IUDs ), Loops, Copper Tees, Pills, Saheli, and official propaganda could not till date achieve. Being an almost entirely uneducated people, the ancient Indians could not put their reasons in scientific form, but like the so called Lemmings they simply adopted a habit suiting the need.

Nature seems to have evolved a simple way of dealing with the bigger problem of unbridled population growth ( which too is driven by unstoppable social practices ), thereby making a balance between the sacrifice and the benefit.When we criticize a naturally evolved custom of a largely uneducated people, we should not ignore the evolutionary factors driving their habits.

Well What can i say to this theory its out of my stupid mind. dont know what to say .. I am really flabbergasted at this mentality .. no wonder India is where it is at present..

So what happens when in few years time its only MEN left and no women …

Will multiple men start to share a women…

Are such people ok with this happening to the women in their own family, I mean how sickening is it to just think about it ..

What do you think will happen and why is nature only evolving like this in India and not in other countries ..  I would like to tell this person that this is not a naturally evolved custom its a HUMAN BEING evolved custom and its called MURDER in simple words 

Slut Walk

Over the last few weeks and months I have read a lot on the topic, it has ranged from people saying Men are the worst thing ever , how women will be happy without men . Men calling how women behave etc etc etc.. I have gone and put my views on a few of the blogs where the articles have written the replies to some have been funny and made me smile.

So let’s be frank and throw away all the hesitations we have, Slut walk is/was organised by people to let other people know that it’s not the women who invite men to rape them by the way they dress up ,  That is what I think is the MAIN point although there are a billion branches to it which my small mind cant cope with.

I am writing this post to put my views on all this Walks , holding discussions , meetings etc as far as I am concerned Dont help there are reasons behind that, Has a walk or a demonstration ever helped anyone and I mean that in context to OUR country INDIA, not referring to any other nation because I don’t believe taking examples of other nation will help us , things don’t work the same in our nation.

My question is to all the people (male-female and any other category which is human included) .. the reason I put that in brackets is I am sure someone out there reading this will say I am talking only of females , yeah I get that a lot so to be POLITICALLY CORRECT I put all..  right the question is will this walk really help.. or has it helped ..

Again please hold your horses and take your fingers off that trigger .. and listen to what I have to say

I am not undermining anything, I totally support all kinds of walk , dharna’s , agitations etc .. BUT my question is to all those who are quiet vocal,

what will they do if they found out that the person who eve teased or raped or molested is from their own house.. will they still want that male to be castrated …

All these crimes are done by a Male (again please I mean MAJORITY) though females too do it but lets assume here its a male who is the culprit .. Dont you think we should be teaching  the MEN the male in our own house , in our own room for things to make a difference, I strongly believe that Once that happens then the things will change.

I feel that the BASIC MENTALITY of a  MALE needs to be changed..  After all the rapist or the man who is eve teasing , or even thinking of it .. IS from our society and maybe from our own home ..

1. How many people will be there in the march, Pardon me for being a idiot but as far as i understand a Indian mindset many of them in the march will be going back to there own home shutting the door and then BITCH about it, Tell me if i am wrong in that …

2. How many of the people actually in the march will go home and to there Husband-Son-Father and point out to them that the way they look at a girl is not good.

3. How many MEN who are supporting this march will on a friday night get drunk or have a few drinks and then do the same thing against which they are standing up now. by this i dont mean they will go and Rape or molest someone I mean talking amogst their own friends .. Oh how sexy that girl is , look at her legs , this and that…

4. A baby boy grows , starts school , comes back home after a few days Mommy is probably the first one to ask “KOI GF banai”..  A girl is taught and instructed about social conduct, given guidelines about how to dress and behave in public in general. But a boy is seldom/never taught about these things at home esp with regard to conduct towards girls. He learns from his peers, from the media which shape up his misguided notions which slowly get entrenched. Something needs to be done in this direction too.  (copied this from Ajay’s comment..)

I totally agree with the above ..

5. I also beleive that  If a woman is dressed a certain way, it does NOT mean that she’s looking for sex!.. But then I would not want a female who I know walking on the road half naked,  as a prostitue would walk.. Again YES I know how they dress and walk.  I know many out there probably wriggling there fingers to put in a comment How do i know, or how can i see.. Well my answer is Look at the one you care for and love , thats how they NOT DRESS.. hope you got a reply

I was brought up by parents who taught me how to treat a woman, I was always told that I should watch how i behave outside since I have sisters and I would not like them teased or hassled. DO you teach your son-husband-father this … Did you protest when a male in your family said something derogatory about a female in front of you.

Why

WHY are people around us so heartless… or I should ask WHY do they show the stone feelings towards you.  I have had so many questions flying around in my silly little head and each time I try to answer them I fail miserably the one question that flies is WHY…

WHY

Just a small meagre 3 letter word yet it brings so much pain …

WHY do people change, I am not against changing but WHY turn there face, if someone has done wrong is it not better to let the person know what wrong they have done , rather then turning your face and walking away.

I am not sure what sort of person god has made me But WHY is it that I feel bad about what happens or has happened, How can people change so fast or am I missing something.. Sometimes the thought that comes to my mind is there is no place for me in this whole wide world…

I also think that If I disappear or vanish or die or whatever, all the people who once told me they care for me, love me etc etc will it even MATTER to anyone.. for that matter will it be even noticed where is Bikram.. I know I know someone will say it should not bother me, I should move on or I should forget about these people.. BUT is it that easy to do all this ..

I am definitely weird, the more I think the more I realise what a jerk I am for it definitely is not easy for me to move on or forget, I dont say you are a friend , or like a bro or the new lingo on the street these days , you are blood.. If I don’t mean it ..

I consider you a friend, part of family BECAUSE I consider you one, WHY is it so wrong to be like that , IS there no place in this world where you can find genuine people.

There always seems to be some motive behind, keeping relations could be anything money, emotional, love there is some sort of emotion, WHY cant people just be happy with the other person as they are, True I have problems , I am not perfect No one is .. I am good for some – Bad for others.. everyone is but suddenly you turn your face that ain’t right either.. IS IT …

Friendship is one relation I had so much faith in, I use to think friendships don’t change even if people change, Is there nobody out there who thinks the way i think, don’t people sit back  especially when they are alone and think , Wonder what Bikram is doing today, being long since talked to him , lets give him a call .. Or  Haven’t heard from him since ages , Is he ok, is he alive ..

Bharat OR India — Relationships, Morals, Honesty, Families

I was watching a movie where there was a dialogue, that got me thinking.. Which category do we fall in, been reading a lot of blogs by the Patriotic INDIANS, wrote some details on my blog too got a few comments some with me some against me .. which is good, reading all those has made we write the following as to what i think or feel..

We the citizens fall into two categories Indians or Bharatiya.. the reason why I say this is because of the growing gap between the rich and poor. Also, the agenda of DELHI DARBAR is so what questionable,

Do we think the common man is on the agenda of INDIA ? Hence my feelings on Two

INDIA or BHARAT

Many people have said that India  is going leaps and bounds , the astonishing success India has had , all the progress we have made but have we brought the BHARAT with us Or in the zeal to progress and make waves we have forgotten the BHARAT that we started with.

It seems that like the british ruled us and the famous Dialogue that was used so much then “Muthi Bhar Gore, lakhon croron Bhartiyon pe raaj kar rahe the”.. (A handful of britishers are ruling crores of bhartiye) Well

Will I be wrong that today the same dialogue is true too, since a hand ful of families are ruling the billion strong citizens.

I don’t have too much knowledge of other states but look in Punjab the RULING family, why is it that this family is become richer and richer while the whole of punjab is becoming poorer.

There is no water in the state, no electricity, what are the farmers to do, the farmers represent the BHARAT still oppressed by the rich and powerful the people who are now Indians.

There is this beautiful song by a punjabi singer I will put the lyrics and then translate as best in English it sums up everything about the state the difference between India and BHARAT…

So what category do you fall in Are you Indian or from Bharat………?

What has all this success done to us , The India that has gone so far the people or the so called Indians in my view have lost all there values.. lets take the example of RELATIONS..

Look at what is happening to Relations.. A boy and girl fall in love, stay together for 2 – 3 -4 years and then decide to move away, what the hell is that , In the BHARAT days hardly this happened Love was so pure and people were committed , they did not have plans to fall in love use someone and then carry on.. Love has become a charade now.. We fool ourselves to think that it exists WHERE IS IT SHOW ME.. the first thing that comes to a Boys mind is how to bed the girl and the same for the girl.. Look around yourselves how many examples can you find of such relations

Families:- The bharat days had joint families , so many people living under the same roof, true there were arguments fights and all sorts of things but the love , respect was there , My cousins Call me VEERJI and whatever the situation I can say this with pride that they still don’t speak in front of me, I may be wrong or whatever they still don’t say anything, I am so confident that I can go and slap them even , they wont say a word this doesn’t mean they are weak or what , this is called Respect Or as in Hindi NAJAR KI SHARAM.. where the hell is that now, with the so called India, People are moving out, so many fights over properties, land disputes, The young people don’t bother about the elders there own parents ..
We hear stories all around us how the kids have come and settled in western countries and then asked there parents to come over to BABY SIT. How they are treated like servants here …

I dared not think like that about my parents , My dad would have come and Slapped and beaten the shite out of me if i had done that, that does not mean he did not love me

Honesty is another thing, People were honest in the Bharat days, but look now where has all that honesty gone , being honest in today’s day is a crime, I have had so many examples to prove it,

If you are honest you are thought to be a fool.
You love someone with honesty you are a fool
you care for someone with honesty you are a fool
you do anything with honesty you are a fool

What has all this success brought for us other then misery, if and only IF we had moved together taking along everyone with us , along with our ethics and morals we would have been really successful in calling ourself INDIA… Now we live in a era where there are MORE Bharatiyas then Indians.. and believe me the Indians who have gone miles ahead they will have to STOP , wait for the others to come along, even need be take a step backwards or two.. Only then will we be successful else we are doomed …

We have become so mean and selfish , we hardly give a damn about what other might fell, even if we know that we may hurt the other we still carry on with our antics, where are those family values, the Cultural values , the rich heritage we had, We have indeed lost all of them .. to each his own as I have heard so many times.. What will it take or how much hard it is for us to bring a smile on someone …

Will it bring us down if we go slightly out of our way to see a smile on someone…

I guess as i have mentioned a lot many times I am but a emotional fool without any sense, who cares what i say …..
