Mahatma Gandhi as we know was the best politician the world has ever had. Politics is the art of gaining what you want even when you are weak… But why call Gandhi as Mahatma I have not understood that, Because as far as I know or as history tells us neither his actions nor his character were impeccable. He did have a few skeletons in his cupboard too.

With each change in political scenario in the country the facts and slogans and Tamasha changes.. according to the will and wimp of the political parties ideology.

Some feel offended that Gandhi is blamed,  but Gandhi was not perfect, so what’s the harm in blaming Gandhi, he did make quiet a few mistakes, who doesn’t, So what’s wrong in blaming him, after all don’t we hear it that we Should be responsible for our actions.

Gandhi no doubt was a very good manipulator, a Politician par excellence.. I don’t deny that, But what I am against is giving a man so much importance when there are others who are equally deserving or MORE. So if they don’t get what they deserve then why is one man singled out for all this respect, If he said that youth like Sardar Bhagat Singh are damaging the image of the nation, then So did he.

March 23 came and went it was the 75th anniversary of the martyrdom of Shaheed Sardar Bhagat Singh. The reason I am mentioning him is that in those turbulent times.. It was HE who was as popular as Gandhi, I will say More than him, that is why the conspiracy theory that Gandhi did not do his best to save him from the gallows.

I myself feel that it has become a mockery with the way history has been changed, manipulated on what Bhagat Singh and many others did , How it helped the bringing of Independence. It is not correct to compare the paths of Bhagat Singh and Gandhi, even when the goal was same..

It is so very wrong to think that it was the Non-cooperative movement which made British  Leave India, the movement started by Gandhi. I think it was both the Revolt to take arms, the anger plus the movements of Gandhi that made the British understand that the time was ripe to vacate the Asian subcontinent for good

The likes of Sardar Bhagat Singh, Chandrasekhar Azad, Rajguru ,SukhDev,Udham Singh and Plenty more whom history has forgotten, who embraced death in their early age, they were all Jewels of OUR country conveniently forgotten by History Manipulators.

Because of political changes history has been so badly manipulated that we still think it was only the indiscipline or non-cooperation movements started by Gandhi that helped in Independence, this is religiously followed in all walks of life in India even to this day.

WE forget that Today the same Congress , and the KHADI wearing people , The so-called people who are following Gandhi principles are the worst enemies we have… and These are the very people the young fire brand freedom fighters cautioned us about..

But we the people have not learned anything, I doubt if we will Learn too. I am sure EVEN GANDHI himself will be ashamed of the ways our politicians are behaving today, but then Gandhi himself was a Politician par excellence.
PS:- The spelling in the title are wrong I know .. WHAT Independence!!!!

The Following is a beautiful song, I am sure many will understand what it means but for those who dont I have tried translating although I have not been able to do justice to what the Song actually means.  Trying to get back to blogging slowly and starting with the monday musical tradition. To bring forward good songs, Hope you like it.

Let us see how steadfast I am. One of my friends asked me to pray. When informed of my atheism, he said, “When your last days come, you will begin to believe.” I said, “No, dear sir, Never shall it happen. I consider it to be an act of degradation and demoralisation. For such petty selfish motives, I shall never pray.” Reader and friends, is it vanity? If it is, I stand for it…

That is what He believed in , Today the 23rd of march, 1931 Three freedom fighters of our great nation were EXCUTED by hanging until death by a government that ruled us for so many years,  Today was the day when the british raj was shown how we the youth of the our nation were no longer afraid to walk the talk ,  to walk up to that platform where we would KISS death and smilingly happily die for the nation, Hoping to be reborn YET AGAIN so we could try once again to free our great nation from the chains it was bound by..

Here we are in the year 2012 yet again on the same fateful day, how many of us remember the Brave three , the ones on this day gave their life in a hope for a better future for us , the US who don’t deserve this freedom, the US who have never ever done anything for our nation and probably will never do, the US who are hand in glove with the corrupt , the bad the traitors .. YES i call myself and others a traitor for  we are seeing all this happen in our nation yet we go about as if nothing has happened, we don’t bat an eyelid over what is going on …

When will the time come when we will all stand up together and do something , or have we gotten so shameless that we are not dreading the day when we will also reach where these martyrs are now looking down upon us, what will we say to them when they ask us “IS this why they gave their lives”..  HOW – WHAT will we say to them ..

When will the time come when indians will start to think that Time has come to re-sow the guns in our fields.. as the little Bhagat singh did ..

The reasons why the martyrs gave their life, the reason why they kissed the rope that was to go around their neck to hang them till death, we have forgotten all those reasons..  SO many years went by before the govt of india could decide to have a statue of Bhagat Singh, in the parliament, While the Chief ministers of some state have done nothing but put statues of themselves all over the state.

Come 22nd march they all run around cleaning those statues of  martyrs, and the irony is that, the one who comes to put a garland on these statues is a NETA, a khadi wearing politician who has tons of criminal cases against him/her. .. Sad is the situation that although our nation is free yet to get anything done we need to find a minister whose call will get the job done.

The only thing that has changed since independence is the color of the skin of the looters , it was white then Now its brown.

Here is something that I would love everyone to hear ,  Put the volume at normal and close your eyes Just listen..   a little tribute to the martyrs .. Hope we do something for them for our country which will make them proud of their fellow citizens , I know you all are very busy, but do spend some time listening , maybe it will wake us all up to do something someday.. just maybe

14th february went by, majority of us celebrated it as the day of love, but there was history made on this day especially for us indians, let me ask a question how many can remember what it was that happened , this day years back..  and please no googling.. no shame in accepting if you dont know, I did not know about it myself sadly, But I wont forget it again that is for sure.

I hope we can remember the martyrs just more than once in a year …

Today 27th September is the Birth anniversary of Sardar Bhagat singh, One of the most known person in Indian history, Who was more influential then Mahatama Gandhi, inspite of being so young.

The congress may not agree to it , But it was Gandhi’s Politics that made us loose a firebrand leader, I wonder sometimes how it would have been if Sardar Bhagat singh and his friends had survived, for as long as Gandhi did, makes you wonder what would have been the outcome if history had been otherwise..

Anyway Today is Sardar Bhagat singh’s birthday and I dont want to discuss the dirty politics of the congress then.Sardar Bhagat singh gave a new direction to revolutionary movement in India, formed ‘Naujavan Bharat Sabha’ to spread the message of revolution in Punjab, formed ‘Hindustan Samajvadi Prajatantra Sangha’ along with Shaheed Chandrasekhar Azad to establish a republic in India,

(the following had been published by me earlier too.. My thoughts) Been wondering sometimes, what it would be, to actually be alive during the times of Sardar Bhagat Singh. It’s one thing to watch the movies describing him, his ideas what he did, how it all happened, but to be actually there is different

I sometimes think if I was at that age, am I cut up for such sacrifices, would I be able to do what the heroes at that time did. Would I have had the courage to defy the Government at that time? Or would I be a coward running scared? or worst be an obedient citizen going about my daily chores of life without batting a eyelid, cause that’s what most were doing otherwise how could a handful of british rule so many.

The last few words spoken by him “Dil se niklegi, na mar kar bhi, watan ki ulfat, meri mitti se bhi khushboo-e-watan aayegi” (Even after my death my love for my motherland will not diminish from my heart. Even my ashes will smell of your (motherland’s) greatness and love). AM I LIKE THAT Are YOU  LIKE THAT ?

Can I or Would I be able to give up my life smiling. Does it not make you think sometime COULD YOU DO what they did.  OR Would I be one of those traitors who got greats like Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad killed, Shaheed Bhagat Singh hanged… Would I be that SLY bastard who would betray my friends at the first hurdle of trouble, would I spill the beans at the mere thought of pain?

Would I or Could I have been as brave as the martyrs, Could I have taken all that beating, torture they went through in there tender age, When I was 24 I was busy trying to make a career.

It is one thing saying it, Oh yes I could have or I would have… But think deep inside, be truthful to yourself COULD YOU, COULD I… just a thought. Not many these days think the way a 24 year old thought at that time, I know situations were different but there is one thing common, INDIA… our country it is still under oppression, still under rule the only difference is colour of skin, it was WHITE then now its BROWN. Mentality is still same LOOT The country, fill in own coffers…

But do we see Bhagat Singh NOW? NO. All the martyrs gave their life for us but we have betrayed them, we have betrayed our own brothers and sisters.

Hence the wondering that could I do what they did, because if the answer is YES and hundreds, thousands said it was YES, then we should not be where we are in the current ERA. I just wish to god and prey that when I die, I die a good death a bit worthwhile, or give me strength that I am able to do something, anything worthwhile for the country where I was born where my forefathers lived.

I am not sure if I could say what Bhagat Singh wrote “I have been arrested while waging a war. For me there can be no gallows. Put me into the mouth of a cannon and blow me off.” These heroes had conquered the fear of death.

CAN I ?
COULD I ?
WOULD I ?
Remains a QUESTION…

“Shaheedo ki cheetaon par har baras lagen ge mele, watan par marne walon ka bus yahi nishan hoga’’.

Sardar Bhagat Singh was one of the most prominent faces of Indian freedom struggle. He was a revolutionary ahead of his times. By Revolution he meant that present order of things, which was based on manifest injustice must change (its stil lthe same now tooo),   He realised that the overthrow of British rule should be accompanied by the socialist reconstruction of Indian society and for this political power must be seized by the workers. And he was so right, Look at what stage we are in Under the so called rulers, Today We need Bhagat singh to be born again.

We indians have a tendency- we want nehru paida ho apne ghar aur Bhagat singh paida ho padosi de ghar. Effort woh karen aur maje len hum..

Bhagat Singh gave a new direction to the revolutionary movement in India. He differed from his predecessors ,He was the one who had a concept of post-independence society. The immediate goal of all other parties , leaders was  destruction of the British Empire but they had no inclination to work out a political alternative. Bhagat Singh, because of his thoughts, knowledge, interest in studying gave the revolutionary movement a goal beyond the elimination of the British.

This Vision and determination of purpose distinguished Sardar Bhagat Singh from other leaders of the National Movement. He emerged as the only alternative to Gandhi and the Indian National Congress, especially for the youth, when the rest of the parties were busy squabbling over power, who would have power, who would rule, The Young Firebrand Gave His life for the country, slapping at the faces of the leaders Then.. Who are still SQUABBLING NOW.

As we have seen throughout our history then and NOW our leaders have never been loyal to there party let alone the Country, The so called leaders then let there own selfish aims come in way of helping a Revolutionary who WOULD  yes WOULD have I am not saying could .. WHO WOULD have changed the whole scenario had he lived.. He told us how we will be under the rule of our own when the british left, thats what has happened precisely..

We have to change this Attitude, We need bhagat singh born in each house, So we can get rid of our country from the leeches the so called leaders, Need I say more …

Today On his birthday please all those reading this article take a moment and THINK…

Soora so pahchaniye, je lade deen ke het,
Purja-purja kat mare, kabhu na chhade khet.

(Only he is brave who fights for the cause of the poor. He may be cut into pieces and may be killed, but he should not leave the field.)

Inquilab Zindabad…

Look at the above pic.. He was right Money is the HONEY of mankind especially We indians…
“Lover , lunatic and poets are made of the same stuff ”

“My strength is the strength of oppressed , my courage is the courage of desperation” Indeed when will we get so desperate and have the courage to throw the rulers Out WHEN….

Martyrdom of Sardar Bhagat Singh

I will be posting a few more articles after this as my little tribute to the Martyr who gave what not many can do for the country without any award, only wanting his fellow citizens to live in peace.. BUT shame on us all, we dont deserve to be called Indians and Shame on us to say we are patriotics and love our country.. We should all Lower our heads in SHAME….

This is a Repost of a article written last year for a competition here , I did not have anything more to write on the politics in india so am Reposting it here Again 🙂 A lot has been written already on the politics-independance day and all in blogosphere 🙂  As such nothing much has changed from last year to today .. same thoughts still exist

Phatte: So, the monsoons are finally here huh? Don’t you just love the feel of the rains? The beautiful breeze that flows and how everything is green in Mumbai?

Vijay: You mean of what little green is left in the city? I’m not really enjoying the rains. My house is getting more unstable day by day. Imagine what a day of continuous rain will do to it.

Phatte: But didn’t your MLA start off some initiative to rebuild houses in the chawl? I noticed the posters plastered all over the place.

Vijay: Yes he did. Just like he promised electricity, subsidized food tickets for the needy and a school exclusively for the chawl kids. Somehow those “schemes” are yet to be started and it’s been couple of years already since the last elections.

Phatte: Well, I think you should talk to your MLA about this.

Vijay: That will take at least a few years. What to do about my house till then?

Phatte: Why a few years?

Vijay: Well, the MLA comes only a month before the elections and then leaves a month after. And even during the rallies and pre-election chaos, he only visits some chawls, picks up the weakest looking kids and talks to the women. We just wave at him from a distance.
Phatte: I know. That is the story everywhere. I don’t even remember the name of the MLA of my area. Why don’t you shift bases then? Go to Andheri or some other place?

Vijay: And wade through the floods? Are you nuts? We lost my sister-in-law in last year’s flashfloods. My wife would rather leave me than going to that part of Mumbai.

Phatte: I read in the paper that the Municipal Corporation is going to take appropriate steps to lessen the effect of floods in Mumbai this year.

Vijay: Why would they? Bollywood even made a movie on it and raked in good money. From what I hear, the people at the Municipal Corporation were thrilled that the floods were portrayed so beautifully in that movie.

Phatte: I remember that movie. I had gone to watch it, but unfortunately couldn’t reach the hall on time.

Vijay: Too much rush, eh?

Phatte: Oh no, apparently some minister sahib decided to take a ride around the city that particular day. The Police had blocked all the major roads for his cavalcade of vehicles to pass. And off course, once the roads were opened you know the maniacal traffic in Mumbai; where cows have the right of way.

Vijay: You are right off course. Hey what happened about your son’s admission to ITI?

Phatte: I’m glad you asked! I have good news on that front. My son got through.

Vijay: Congratulations! You were having a harrowing time about it.

Phatte: I know. I had been hopping from office to office trying to sort out our caste certificate. When I went to the ITI admission office, they just looked at me once and said there was no job there for me! Can you believe it? I explained to him, I wasn’t there for a job but to get my son into the institute. So he just asked me which OBC I belong to. I tell you Vijay, if there’s one good thing these politicians have done, it’s this reservation system. My son can attend college now.

Vijay: Brilliant! What was his rank by the way?

Phatte: Oh, he was ranked 1,75,000. What about your son? He has grown up to be a fine young man. What plans do you have for him?

Vijay: He is going to stay with my brother Raj. Raj is the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena and he thinks my son has just the right attitude to be a part of MNS. Besides you don’t really need any educational qualifications to join Politics in India.

Phatte: MNS? Isn’t that the party routing for Marathi Manoos?

Vijay: Yes.

Phatte: Gandhiji must have turned in his grave the day MNS came into existence. I mean, he tried to spread the message of brotherhood, tolerance and secularism all his life. Now, some politicians are trying to break our unity on the terms of who is Marathi and who’s not. It is so sad.

Vijay: But I completely agree with their propaganda. Initially our politicians told us to be a secular nation and welcome outsiders to be a part of our society. I mean what a truck load of nonsense is that? This is our city. Why should we let others come here? I like that guy leading MNS.

Phatte: But doesn’t he have a few criminal cases against him for inciting riots in the city?

Vijay: Stop being a hypocrite Phatte. These days every other politician has a criminal record in his name. Does that stop people from contesting elections? Off course not! How does it matter if they have a criminal record, if now they are stepping into the most noble of all services: helping the common man?

Phatte: You seriously think politicians are doing things to help us? Have you seen the bungalow of that MLA from Juhu? It’s right next to Amitabh Bachchan’s house. If he thought of spending even 1% of what went into making that house, I think our whole slum can be rebuilt.

Vijay: Well all the corruption and black money has to be converted to white money in some way right? What better than to make a palatial house in the richest suburb of Mumbai. I bet they have some hi-fi cars too.

Phatte: Yes, bullet proof cars for the politicians, whereas people bleed on the streets everytime there is a terror attack.

Vijay: Seriously what is the world coming to Phatte? I feel disappointed living in this nation which is ruled by such characters.

Phatte: Well, maybe we should elect the other party in the next elections.

A sudden commotion erupts. A lot of people start running hither thither.

Vijay: What is happening? What the hell is going on? Why so much of rush?

Iqbal: (shouting from the crowd): Don’t you know? Vinod Kambli has decided to join politics. He has come to the slums to meet us. I am so excited! A cricketer in our area!

Phatte: This is great! After movie stars now cricketers are also getting into politics. Isn’t there any eligibility criterion for politicians?

Vijay: His earnings from ads and reality shows must have dried up Phatte. And isn’t entering into politics a sure shot ticket to lottery?

Phatte: Come Vijay, lets see how well this politician lies and what unique promises he makes to us.

DISCLAIMER:- Please carry on reading this article if you are ready to think logically and understand.
If you are one of those people who will not listen to One wrong word against the country PLEASE STOP NOW, I am sorry.. This article is not for you, or for those who have one single track mind..
All those who think our country has nothing wrong ALSO STOP READING NOW.
All those who can only TALK and do nothing also STOP READING.

ALSO This is not INDIA bashing its towards the INDIAN PEOPLE .. bashing those who wud not od anything but will be the first ones to argue or fight or shout and put others down… Its to people to accept the the fault and work to fix it not sit and bask that we are doing good Thanks

What is this independance day and why do we celebrate it.. This is going to be a SHOCK for all reading this , I am indian and I think we should stop celebrating the Independance day .. the whole idea of or the reason of the celebration has been lost…

In my mind or in my sense we started clebrating this day because the British LEFT us or GAVE us independance , I have said Left us or Gave us because if you think logically , with a cool mind we could not have won it with war and with the Gandhi principles Even if we did manage it would have taken many more years to do so, The british went because they could not see any advantage of there stay Had they wanted they could have stayed anyway thats not the point of this article..

We started to celebrate this day because we became a independent country to be governed by us Indians THATS IT.. But its been 63 years now of celebration no one celebrates events for ever .. Especially when now we can sit back and think DO WE REALLY DESERVE IT ALL.

The few years in the start may have been good inspite of the wars we had to fight, for the sole reason that we had Indians ruling us and No white skin to bow down to. There have been some commendable work done by some indians, I say some because there are only a handful who actually work for the betterment of the country… Rest have just taken it for granted including me .. There were people then who wanted the british to go , who genuinly loved the country Now after so many years all those people have passed away and some are on way .. Which brings us to the new CROP.. That is US ALL .

Where are we now..

Were we not better off when we had british rule..

Over this last week I have read countless articles on independance day some moaning about the conditions , some saying how they love the country, some saying this should happen or that should happen… Come next year or wait Come january we will again do this DHAKOSLA on 26th Janaury.. then it all stops.

We Indians have no , NO excuse of bringing our country to this state, look at Germany or Japan.. world war happened look at the state of those countires completely devastated.. Look at them NOW.. Can we compare even a single thing… India was not devastated True it was poor because of the wealth taken away BUT mind you British gave our country a lot, The roads they built then are still standing , Have a look at the road in each locality – in your own locality that were built just DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY, you will get the idea..

Railways was another thing given to us .

The people who gave their LIVES for the country had the right to say they love their country, How many of the people who have written big articles or commented how they love their country can actually go and give their life, HECK I dont think I can go and die..

Yes our country is corrupt, Yes its far behind, Yes our country is dirty All this is true so time has come to STOP going GA GA over stupid things and shouting at foreigners who says india is dirty YES IT IS, I say so that does not mean I am not indian or you love the country more than ME. Time has Come to WORK and FIX IT

We all each and everyone , people Living In or outside india, EACH ONE has to wake up and stop this FARCE.. IF we start now maybe just maybe in a decade or two we can start to celebrate the Independance day again when we again win our freedom this time from our own people, From US , FROM YOU from ME… it is still a maybe but then there is still hope…

I was reading an article where someone mentioned we should celebrate the day to pay respect to freedom fighters, Come on I say to them, Those freedom fighters did not give their life to get this day , they had different ideas, they gave their LIFE for US the new generation who shout at top of our voice when need be how proud we are to be indians,

THE REAL CELEBRATION WOULD BE TO MAKE SURE WE BUILD THE INDIA THAT THEY HAD VISUALISED

Furling the national flag, singing the national anthem is not gonna achieve that. We have to start to WORK on making it better. We need to face the REALITY, till we do that nothing can be changed the first step to start changing or rectifying a PROBLEM is to Accept there IS A PROBLEM… if there is no problem then what are we rectifying NOTHING.

Lets forget of who did what , so what if a foreigner said india is dirty SO WHAT.. if it felt bad then maybe you should have gone and cleaned the place .. HECK I would do that I maynot have the guts to go and die for the country but I can go and clean the place and I have done it ..

The work on making the country a better place has to start, The first thing should be to stop moaning and actually doing something , If each of us take jsut a couple of hours out of a week it can work wonders. The problem is we will not do anything, but the moment someone says this is wrong , that is wrong we all attack them like a swarm of bees.. What we DONT Do is try to rectify the wrongness.

Looking forward to the comments I am gonna get after this article but after commenting do read the article again with a cool mind and think what I have said .. If you dont understand DO ASK….

To be continued :-

Rubbishing Gandhi has become an unofficial national pastime, with each change in political scenario in the country these facts and slogans and Tamasha changes.. according to the will and wimp of the political parties ideology.. I don’t deny that, But what I am against is giving a man so much importance when there are others who are equally deserving or MORE. So if they don’t get what they deserve then why is one man singled out for all this respect, If he said that youth like Sardar Bhagat Singh are damaging the image of the nation, then So did he.

March 23 came and went it was the 69th anniversary of the martyrdom of Shaheed Sardar Bhagat Singh. The reason I am mentioning him is that in those turbulent times.. It was him who was as popular as Gandhi, I will say More then him, that is why the conspiracy theory that Gandhi did not do his best to save him from the gallows.

I myself feel that it has become a mockery with the way history has been changed, manipulated on what Bhagat Singh and many others did and How it helped the bringing of Independence. It is not correct to compare the paths of Bhagat Singh and Gandhi, even when the goal was same.. It is so very wrong to think that it was the Non-cooperative movement was the only reason which made British to Leave India, the movement started by Gandhi. I think it was the both the Revolt to take arms, the anger plus the movements of Gandhi that made the British understand that the time was ripe to vacate the Asian subcontinent for good

The likes of Sardar Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekar Azad, Rajguru ,Udham Singh and Plenty more whom history has forgotten who embraced death in their early age They were all Jewels of the country conveniently forgotten by History Manipulators.

As I mentioned earlier because of political changes history has been so badly manipulated that we still think that it was only the indiscipline and non-cooperation movements started by Gandhi only helped in Independence, and this is religiously followed in all walks of life in India even to this day. WE forget that Today the same Congress , the KHADI wearing people , The so called people who are following Gandhi principles are the worst enemies we have… and These are the people the young fire brand freedom fighters cautioned us about..

Update:- the spelling in the title are worng I kno .. WHAT Independence!!!!
