Continuing from part one How to live and Die (1) – Sad post on what I think are some of the points that one needs to keep in mind to have a good Life and Die a peaceful death, the first point as I said is health.. as Health is Wealth..

The next point that is equally important is MONEY.. I don’t like beating around the bush and I am sure a lot of people will be shaking their heads but believe you me that I do think after Health the next most important is a healthy bank balance: OH Yes this is a must, and If you owe some money to someone then you need enough to pay off that debt and as soon as possible. We humans have this tendency that if we owe someone and even though we have enough money we try to keep it closer to us as much as possible and for as long as possible, I don’t know why we don’t just pay our debts off at the earliest.

I recently found this out, that I do owe money to someone, I hope I am able to pay it off as soon. Over the time I have also realised that expensive gifts taking-giving need to be stopped, because when relations go sour suddenly that money spent cuts into an already sour relation.

Anyway I am deviating from the point .. One needs to have a healthy bank balance enough to provide a few comforts, and most importantly One should have enough for fun time, small little things like going for movies, eating out, holidays etc etc. Holidays May not be luxury holidays but some that can release all that pressure that builds up, somewhere that relaxes you.. I have a perfect place where I get relaxed the most .. My Village house.. That’s one place where I feel happy even when everything around me is falling down. Although saying that I had not been there for so long, so this year when I spent 2 weeks it felt like heaven, I have made my self promise ME.. that I am going to spend at least ONE week each year at home, That definitely means I need that MONEY – a healthy bank balance to do just that, as coming to India is becoming more and more expensive each passing day.

Not having enough money to just have basic recreation is very demoralizing. I was talking to a friend on this , he mentioned that he has a mortgage and some credit card bills, But I would not advice anyone to Live on credit or borrow , as that is far worse , it is demeaning and lowers one in one’s own eyes, especially if you are unable to pay the installments.

Now that we are talking about Money PLEASE don’t lend money especially to friends, I know I am being horrible but it is truth, you lose friendship and the Money.

As I said we humans have this tendency that we like to hold on to that money for as long, even if we owe. If you ask your friend for the money back, you are suddenly not that good a friend, so friendship lost with that money too,

After Health — Money is the most important thing in life no matter what people say.. even the billionaires need the money..

The Next important fact after Health-Money is Having your own home, and by that I mean the one which you may buy yourself, I am strong believer that if you buy your own with your own hard-earned money you feel more Happy.I know in today’s economy it’s a big task to buy one’s own home and many many of us live in the house that we have got from our parents they probably from their’s, It is yours but it is not yours .. If you know what I mean.

Many people these days live on rent , Renting a place never gives you the comfort or security that you get because somewhere in the back of your mind it’s always something that you will have to vacate. BUT saying that these days especially in india No one vacates.. If you give your property on rent it seems you have done one of the worst things ever.. this brings added tensions to the owner.. I have burnt my fingers in that too. Use to have a Shop in Chandigarh the normal rent in the sector is at least 60 to 70000, but the gentleman who rented ours paid a measly 2200/- , yeah just 2200Rs. My father was a very soft man, the guy would come and cry how difficult the situation is and my dad would say ok next year we will increase , this carried on for 40+ years. So Last year I sold it off to a friends Uncle at 30% less than the market price, he has enough clout to throw this tenant out on the road, and then I got phone calls every day from him telling me he is ready to up the rent to whatever price I said, but too late for that.

I dont know why we have this mentality if we are having something good we over do it , this guy had all his business , everyone knew him and now when he would have had to set up his work at a different place , at a higher price he realises he was wrong, I remember 4 years ago when i had gone to india I had a chat with him and had told him that , he was wrong, He did the usual sob story and said can afford to increase the rent to 3000Rs. only , I just turned back and said leave it , he can have the 800rs. it will help his family more.. But serves him right.

I got so scared of this tenant business that , the house I had bought a year and half ago , we had given it on rent but now I have got it vacated and I plan to have it like that , we have a care taker who lives in it , the guy who worked our fields has a second wife 🙂 , yeah I know 🙂 .. and one kid, so the other family live in that taking care of the house , it helps both of us he doesn’t have to pay for rent , he was paying previously and we have someone looking after the house.

Right from the last almost two weeks I have been trying to keep it hidden, But today is the day when I can Finally say I GOT IT.. as of 1st april I shall be transferred over to a department which I have been longing to do for the last 4 years (will start work on 16th april over there).

As with the line of work I can’t disclose what it is , I am sure many of you would have already guessed it.

Due to the some of the problems I had two years ago ( The time when I should have actually got this) , I ended up messing up everything thanks to the person who put me into that SHITE at that time.  Life is funny but I do think that if one pursues what one wants with all heart and hard work  you can achieve what you want, Even if  other people (especially the ones who say they care for you and love you) do their best to ruin it for you.

But anyway Thanks to THE ONE, for putting me through this, hope you realise one day what you have done, I also wish and pray that God DOESNOT give you the opportunity to Repent it too.

Hard work always pays , maybe late but it does pay, No matter how much, people do their best to make your life miserable and leave you standing alone knowing pretty well that they have let you down or MAYBE doing it deliberately at that precise moment was their sole Motive … BUT that has gone , Bad times have gone waving way to good times fingers crossed..

So Let me take this opportunity today to thank god almighty, Family and Friends who stood by me when the times were not good, to all the beautiful – lovely people who visit this blog. Making me smile all the time

A special Thank you to the one who listened to my Rants, Enquiring about me when I did not even know them properly , telling me all will be fine, You know Who you are. (let me be Sarcastic here , even though you don’t come to my blog often or comment in spite of me harassing you he he he he 🙂  )

Put it this way ladies and gentleman that all those whom I keep saying come to uk,  Let me say this to you that if you land near where I live, I might just be standing at the door of the plane to receive you If  I am working that day 🙂

I need all your best wishes and prayers please, So do send them my way, I need them all.

and shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh  Keep it hush… 🙂

The previous post about the picture.. Well its a MAN..

Most lingerie firms might choose a Victoria’s Secret-esque bombshell to model its latest push-up bra. But though Dutch department store Hema has certainly cast a beauty in its new lingerie campaign, the fact that star model Andrej Pejic is actually a man makes him an unlikely choice.

BlogJunta - An ode to the Blogosphere

Dhoni’s men could have adandoned the England Tour

UPDATE – AFTERTHOUGHT :- This post is not on cricket, or on the point that should india have stayed in UK or abandones the tour,  I am talking of the point where this person is Puting two incidents at equal PAR.. If we think that english would then that makes us ONE step better then them that we stayed and played circket for which we are paid. But saying the Mumbai attacks equivalent to the Looting by Teenage/young people .. without GUNS Heavy Equipment, Without Shooting people on the STreet, Without careful planning .. Thats the point I am trying ot make .. How can the Same two incidents be same … In one people Innocent people were Killed , they lost their life to careful Planning .. In the second it was nothing but LOOTING.

I was reading the above article on the online version of this Supposedly best Indian news papers .. It made me really mad , On the thought of such People who are supposedly better writers .. And have written so many articles. How can they write such silly stuff, The gist of the article was that the indian team could/should have abondoned the entire England tour at the sign of Riots and taken the easy way out to save themselves the humility of being beaten fair and square by a better team.

This writers tries to  put the two episodes that of  26th November 2008 Mumbai attacks  and of August 2011 UK Riots as same, I mean IS HE THAT ______.. he is supposed to be a journalist and times of India is again supposedly a good newspaper , why it allows such article to be published I can’t put my mind to it. The Rationale to compare the two episodes is ridiculous.

Well let me take the opportunity here to Tell this person Mr. Saibal Bose the two incidents that happened were not same .. People died in the Mumbai attacks , it was an attack on the nation by some people, It was a fully planned and well organised Attack. What happened in UK was some youth getting together and going on a Looting spree, YES that’s what it was LOOTING.. not even rioting which the media in India  created such a big issue of. The terrorists were looking to kill as many possible, put fear in the people,  The looters so-called rioters had no such intention Unless they found DHONI or TEAM walking on streets with Plasma Tele’s .

What happened in Mumbai was one of the worst terrorist attacks on our nation and the Security for the English team which was touring India in those days had a perfect good reason to think of the safety of its men, as they could have easily been targeted , which sadly we all saw .. when the Sri Lankan team came under attack  in Pakistan the following year.

The Looting that happened here in UK, was not targeted at people, It was some groups in need of the latest Armani suits, Or Iphones or Televisions that too FREE.. That is all it was about, No one was carrying heavy weaponry , targeting People killing .. Why would the indian team feel scared of this .. I don’t know.

Is the intelligence so ridiculous, are the security personnel that follow the indian team, or advice them on security so silly they literally thought that Indian team was being targeted by teenage groups of people running with free goodies off an electrical shops..

I found it really hilarious that this person is suggesting that the indian team should have abandoned , what came MORE of a surprise was the long list of comments people saying yes it would have been good..

I enjoyed reading the article where the Writer is thinking of what will happen if indian team had come back, the english press would have called them Chicken.. I mean how can someone think of what has not happened.

This is what made me laugh out loud , This is what the writer writes “If the Football association can call off a friendly involving the English team, there surely was a case for the Indians to seriously contemplate returning home. Particularly with the team not doing too well. It recalls, the English team wasn’t doing too well either when they returned home in 2008. Going by India’s batting on the first day of the Edgbaston Test, perhaps India would have done well to come back. They had a good enough excuse to return, regroup and go back at a later date, better prepared.”

For those who are Reading Let me make it very clear the FOOTBALL match was cancelled because of the large number of police officers needed to police the event, not because the players were thought to be at risk, The police had to control the Looting .. use officers in that ..

Can you believe it , A writer writing this in a major paper..

Really I would like all of you to go and read this article, and why Times of india found this nonsense even worthy, Comparing the two incidents, I wish he had done some research on this , To me its a disgrace of how small the thinking is , even to compare.

What risk is a youth stealing some Nike shoes to a Team of players who have security around them.. The english team came back to India once all was settled and security was good, I hope people don’t forget that , It is also a fact that BCCI wanted the matches to take place because of the money that they would have lost.

I really would like people to know what they are saying and stop writing such silly notes just to gain some publicity

Some of the comments I will just copy paste ..

1. Suresh says:

We do not care what English people think about us or win their hearts. We, Indians, play fairly and win the game against England. You are right on the money. We, Indian people, needed to stand up for our team rather than just criticizing our team and applaud White men. we should be wise to leave the tour in the middle when the opportunity happened as England team did to us. When we have courage to stand up to white man? We have more than 1 Billion people. Why we accept white man for everything and critize our team? We still world champs. One more fact:England invented the game of cricket but they never won one day world championship. We won twice. So Indian team is better and we are proud of you.

 2. j venkatesh says:

I think we are yet to come out of the colonial mentality and that is why we are subdued in all aspects. We are brave only when we fight among ourselves. The writer is perfect in his view that we should have come back citing the arson and looting that was taking place in front of their hotel and therefore we could have avoided the disaster at Birmingham. Regarding sporting spirit, it applies to us only. If the same thing happens to our players English/Australians/Proteas would not have relented and would justify the dismissal only as per the cricket rules. Unlike English coach and captain, our coach and skipper would not have gone to the opponents dressing and beg to reconsider the appeal. But ECB and other white nations forget their coffers are being filled up only because of BCCI.

Weekend I was away and had gone to meet my cousin and his wife who have recently got married and trying to settle in UK, They had come with a group of students to do nursing about 5 years ago, got there degrees. got jobs and Settled here. I use to laugh with my cousin cause he was the only male nurse and the house they had hired had 4 girls and him alone.. (oooooh , though he did not like the idea later on ). Slowly as with everything people moved here and there , He fell in love with a girl and two years ago they got married.

But this note is not about them, Now they have a friend lets call her “X” who has been sharing the house with them since the day they all came to uk, before that too in india they were all together, its like family with her now,”X” is educated , completed her degree and has a job in the national health service. Last year her parents decided to get her married…

As usual a rishta came from a very close relative of a Boy who was Handsome, Good Looking , Very humble, Intelligent blah blah blah , it was as if he lacked nothing, the only thing was he had failed in 10th class exams and had come back from dubai after working as a carpenter. OK no worries I am all for seeing the good , so what if he was uneducated.. what irked me the most was “X”  is educated why did she say yes to the rishta.. I am sure there are enough educated people, I guess the peer pressure and the age-old problem we have the girl is getting older (she is only 26)..  had a lot of influence on the decision.

So she got married every thing fine, the marriage was in india, I did not go to the wedding, she stayed with the guy for 3 weeks before she was to come back for her job, then the process started of getting the guy here to uk, the first time the visa got rejected , so we went for an appeal, thankfully the visa was granted, and in december 2010 the guy came to uk.

For some reason or the other I did not ever meet him as they live about 4 hours drive from where I live.  I am a very outgoing person and I respect my relations a lot ,”X” calls me Veerji as in elder brother and when you know someone for so long they are family, I was looking forward to meeting her husband.

I reached  my cousin’s house friday late night , went in and as usual I asked the whereabout of this guy, to be told that he has been asked to leave or sent packing more like it for almost a month now .. and then started the stories what this so-called Quiet, handsome, good-looking .. Sau Munda , had been up to. To my horror he was torturing “X”. Since everyone was working odd times he would pick his time .. Torturing her when she was alone…

Asking her for money.. Asking her to get a new house.. so much so demanding here to give the car keys as he wanted to go for a ride.. I was shocked when ever I had called on phone they would say he is very quiet, doesn’t talk much.  NO wonder he did not.  My cousin also got him a job within 3 weeks of him coming here , a DECENT one he was getting around a Thousand pounds a month which is a lot of money in this part of the world.

He even got a Knife out and threatened to kill her or himself and then Hit her too, I MEAN WHAT THE HELL.. I must tell you here I had a fight with”X” why did she not call, the moment he hit for first time she should have called I would have sorted this $%£$%^ like anything, I mean in spite of me asking continuously she could not answer me , as to why was she bearing this for 3 -4 months that he was here all she said was at time she picked the phone or tried sending me a message but never sent it through.

Why would someone bear this,  This left me a bit disturbed what sort of Psycho people are out there who treat another human being like that .. and PLEASE for the sake of GOD all those who will come out with this man woman theory , how woman are not treated equally Please don’t …

All this had come out a month ago, my cousin had come to visit me with his wife for 6-7 days, things got worse than as “X” was alone at home, so when my cousin returned he was told , He is like me  immediately called the police and the Guy was asked to vacate the house and “X” could accompany him if she wanted to, THANK GOD “X” took a stand that day and refused to go out, she did not want anything to do with this guy so the guy has been sent back to india.

NOW this Guys Mother and sister I can’t tell you what all theories they have come out why their brother has been sent packing.  According to them its all “X” fault she should have adjusted, I mean they are themselves Women don’t they see how their son is, The mother further added that the son did good, she will find another Wife for her precious son.

When told the son hit “X”, the mother replies that its early days once they get to know each other better the son will be fine, “X” should make more effort.

The son had not told his parents he has been asked to leave , he told them he came on his own, so the Mother says he should have stuck it out for 2 more years and divorced “X” once he got permanent residency in UK. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT.. what sort of women is that..

What made me laugh the most this guys mother asking “X” parents to return all the gifts exchanged at the wedding, The sister then says “X” was having an affair with my cousin.

This went on for 2-3 weeks, now they want “X” to give their son a second chance HELLO, did I hear right.. he lands in UK, I will F____ break his legs, and they want a second chance.. How will they like if their daughter is treated like that by her husband.  Hypocrite people.

I could see the pressure on “X”, it’s so much, thankfully her parents have left the decision to her and side with her on this, which is again a miracle cause usually parents don’t side.

Me and “X” had a heart to heart discussion on this, I told her that I support her, given her my phone number in case they don’t stop ringing her from india, But I have this funny feeling peer pressure.  I have told her point-blank that if she gives him a second chance or want to live with the guy then she will have to go on her own. I hope I gave her the correct advice.

It amazes me what people do and what does it mean to get married or about the promises people make to each other ..  I am horrified at the way people think god knows how many people are there who think this way ..

I have been living in the UK for quite a few years now, over the years I have seen a lot of changes take place both with the attitude of the people living here and those who want to come abroad. I am sure a few of you reading will disagree with me over the issue that loads of people are doing their utmost legal, illegal or whatever means to get out of India, be it educated , uneducated or whosoever. You find all sorts of people spending all their life savings to get out of the country. I am not going to argue or start writing here about the reasons why they are doing so, cause there are umpteen reasons and NO these people are not traitors or otherwise that they are leaving the country.

Anyway the reason for this note is the terrible conditions of our people out here , I did write a note earlier too the living conditions and work conditions being faced by majority of the people coming, I had told the story of my cousins who have come over, well let’s say it does not look very good for them. One of my cousins did get a job as FARM HELP, now then I have to have a little laugh here, the reason why he came to this country was to get away from working on the farm back home, they have land and all but NA can’t do that, perfectly happy to work in a farm as a HELP here cause he gets about 4 -5 pounds.. How sad is that…

But then none of the people back home want to listen to this, I go to the gurudwara sahib here and see all these young people coming in for food , god knows how they are managing the roof on their head, the situation of girls is really pathetic won’t go into details on that ..

Anyone who wants to get some work done at home can go and ask these people to work for them for anything between 10-20 pounds A DAY. Yes people you heard it right, A DAY and they will come and do anything for the day from gardening to cleaning to ironing… The reason I am saying is because I got asked by a lovely girl and a guy if I had work at home that they could do, I said no since I am rarely at home with my job and extra work, they started to plead explaining how good they are and how trustworthy they are .. I felt quiet bad but there is nothing that I could do for them other then politely refuse, but this is happening.

I was reading some news about the pathetic situation of people in London especially Southall, where a vast majority of population is Asian, no wonder it’s called Little India, It the same story as when India was known to be the GOLDEN BIRD, how every other nation came to plunder it of its prosperity, in the new era England was supposed to have  ‘streets paved with gold’ , but not anymore … one needs to see the ques in front of local gurudwaras to see the situation, one good thing though everyone is friendly no talk of being a hindu-muslim or sikh .. All are equal standing in the queue for the free langar.

People are sleeping in BINS, or even phone booths Yet the mass influx or the want to come to LONDON one of the richest cities in the world is increasing day by day, I also remember telling one of the friends in India about the situation, there reply was “I am jealous, I don’t want them to do good as I did”..

A few months back there was some sort of pity or what you call sympathy for these people who had come to pastures green, but over time I have seen this sympathy going down… as a few localites here feel that they dont have any compassion for these people as this is SELF-INFLICTED,

1. Why is there such an urge to come here…?

2. Why can’t people work as hard as they work here back home

3. Why can’t they work with same respect?

4. Why can’t you work in your OWN FIELD?

With the opening of borders for Euro union it has become very hard for outsiders to get a job, as the job has to be advertised to Europeans and then to others, with current economic scenarios, lots of jobs have been lost, thousands have been made redundant.

Please please All who read this, Please make sure before you or anyone you know who are contemplating to come abroad, you have the facts right, Do your spade work, find out if it is really any worthwhile coming all this way, Wasting the hard earned money of your parents or even putting them under Debt.

Everybody hopes to live in a better environment socially and economically. But it’s not possible for people to get that without struggle. It is the responsibility of the person to determine how much struggle is justified for the cause. The cause can’t be worth it, if the existence occurs merely from hand to mouth.

Lesson 1:

A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower, when the doorbell rings.

The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs. When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next-door neighbour.

Before she says a word, Bob says, ‘I’ll give you $800 to drop that towel.’

After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob , after a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 and leaves. The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs.

When she gets to the bathroom , her husband asks, ‘Who was that?’

‘It was Bob the next door neighbor,’ she replies.

‘Great,’ the husband says, ‘did he say anything about the $800 he owes me?’

Moral of the story:
If you share critical information pertaining to credit and risk with your shareholders in time, you may be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure..

Lesson 2:

A priest offered a Nun a lift.

She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to reveal a leg.The priest nearly had an accident. After controlling the car, he put his hand on her leg.

The nun said, ‘Father, remember Psalm 129?’
The priest removed his hand. But, changing gears, he put his hand on her leg AGAIN.

The nun once again said, ‘Father, remember Psalm 129?’

The priest apologized ‘Sorry sister but the flesh is weak.’

Arriving at the convent, the nun sighed heavily and went on her way…

On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to look up Psalm 129. It said, ‘Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory.’

Moral of the story:
If you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great opportunity.

Lesson 3:

A sales rep, an administration clerk, and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp.

They rub it and a Genie comes out.
The Genie says, ‘I’ll give each of you just one wish.’
‘Me first! Me first!’ says the admin clerk ‘I want to be in the Bahamas , driving a speedboat, without a care in the world..’

Puff! She’s gone.

‘Me next! Me next!’ says the sales rep. ‘I want to be in Hawaii , relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life.’

Puff! He’s gone.

‘OK, you’re up,’ the Genie says to the manager.
The manager says, ‘I want those two back in the office after lunch’

Moral of the story:

Always let your boss have the first say.

Lesson 4

An eagle was sitting on a tree resting, doing nothing.

A small rabbit saw the eagle and asked him, ‘Can I also sit like you and do nothing?’
The eagle answered: ‘Sure, why not.’

So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the eagle and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Moral of the story:
To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.

Lesson 5

A turkey was chatting with a bull.

‘I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree’ sighed the turkey, ‘but I haven’t got the energy.’
‘Well, why don’t you nibble on some of my droppings?’ replied the bull. They’re packed with nutrients.’

The turkey pecked at a lump of dung, and found it actually gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree.

The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch.

Finally after a fourth night, the turkey was proudly perched at the top of the tree.

He was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot him out of the tree.

Moral of the story:
Bull Shit might get you to the top, but it won’t keep you there..

Lesson 6

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field.

While he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him.

As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was. The dung was actually thawing him out!

He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy..

A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate.

Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.

Morals of the story:
(1) Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy.
(2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.

(3) And when you’re in deep shit, it’s best to keep your mouth shut!

THUS ENDS THE FIVE MINUTE MANAGEMENT COURSE

Shocked , Disturbed , Angry , WTF.. are a few words that come to mind.. After hearing and then reading the news about that Maoist attack on our Security men , how they were lured into a place, trapped and killed..

Well But what is more shocking is WHAT THE HELL IS THE GOVERNMENT DOING.. I have always said and believed that IF Govt wants it can control the situation.. the question is IF.. the problem in our country is every single individual person who can do something about it , has some sort of Hidden agenda behind every Thought or decision they make.

More disturbing is the comments they come out with and the passing the buck starts.. the Home Minister P Chidambaram “I told him (Bhattacharjee) the buck stops with you and he must ensure that the buck stops with the SP or the officer in-charge”.. I am sure the CM will say its state govt.. and so on and so forth THIS will carry on.. Till the next incident.. and Then another Dialogue of our HOME MINISTER “Naxals are cowards. Why are they hiding in forests?” ..

They are not cowards , they are doing the best they can in there situations, they are in forest cause they are SAFE there.. What the hell is our Home-Minister talking about, he expects these people to come out in open ground , maybe have a Loudspeaker or something “We are Naxal, we are here, we are 10 men, we have this, this and this as weapons, we will be here for a couple of hours , having a picnic”… WILL THIS INFO BE GOOD ENOUGH

When will we Learn from our mistakes and actually do something.. ?
A lot of questions need answering but Now its time for action, Our Leaders are as I mentioned earlier mere idiots, who have no reason to solve the problems.. Otherwise How can this happen. We are hypocrite people who still go ga ga over the thought that we won the war again Pakistan , we did this BUT If we stop , think for a moment DID WE WIN … DID WE ?

“If this is war, we will fight back”.. said our home minister.. WHEN .. TOMORROW.. the tomorrow which never comes ..

WHAT are they waiting for?

The so called security agencies say one thing, while the HM says another..

Where is the coordination here.. ? DISGUSTING it is .. SOLDIERS have died Mr. Home minister.. SOLDIERS… and to top it he says that results will be expected in 3 to 4 years ..

The security forces look so vulnerable even after the set up of jungle warfare school and equipped with modern weaponry, Still the Maoist seem to have a upper hand, they are more flexible, agile and Intelligent, Obviously there strategists are better then our’s.

The Govt has to take a stand, if it is WAR which it IS.. and which our home minister also thinks, (Blimey who told him that), casualties are inevitable. Security forces will kill or get killed, Which is understandable but whats troublesome is that despite having more resources, better technology and far superior fire power and training, that is so baffling.

And then saying the men did a mistake going or getting themselves into a trap, but more than the men those who gave the orders appear responsible for the tragedy. It’s time, therefore, for some bureaucratic heads to roll. Because their complete lack of accountability is what seems to be dragging the operation down.

Going by the comments on my last note Decision Making a lot would do various things .. but as asked it was to take a decision to change course of train or not .. All the decisions are the right ones, and THANK YOU all for the comments.

We might choose to divert the course of the train, and sacrifice only one child for minimum casualties. Exactly, I thought the same way initially because to save most of the children at the expense of only one child was rational decision most people would make, morally and emotionally. But, have you ever thought that the child choosing to play on the disused track had in fact made the right decision to play at a safe place?

Nevertheless, he had to be sacrificed because of his ignorant friends who chose to play where the danger was. This kind of dilemma happens around us everyday. In the office, community, in politics and especially in a democratic society, the minority is often sacrificed for the interest of the majority, no matter how foolish or ignorant the majority are, and how farsighted and knowledgeable the minority are. The child who chose not to play with the rest on the operational track was sidelined. And in the case he was sacrificed, no one would shed a tear for him.

On other hand it is also right to let the train take its course because the kids playing on the operational track should have known very well that track was still in use, and that they should have run away if they heard the train’s sirens. If the train was diverted, that lone child would definitely die because he never thought the train could come over to that track!

Moreover, that track was not in use probably because it was not safe. If the train was diverted to the track, we could put the lives of all passengers on board at stake! And in your attempt to save a few kids by sacrificing one child, you might end up sacrificing hundreds of people to save these few kids.

While we are all aware that life is full of tough decisions that need to be made, we may not realize that hasty decisions may not always be the right one.

so the MORAL :-

Remember that what’s right isn’t always popular… and what’s popular isn’t always right.

Decision Making

Posted: March 30, 2010 in Decison, Soch, Thinking

A group of children were playing near two railway tracks, one still in use while the other disused. Only one child played on the disused track, the rest on the operational track.

The train is coming, and you are just beside the track interchange. You can make the train change its course to the disused track and save most of the kids. However, that would also mean the lone child playing by the disused track would be sacrificed. Or would you rather let the train go its way?

What would you do….

UPDATE 1:- The question is to make a decision to change track or not change the track.. ?

Hint:- There is a Moral behind this .. So get those thinking hats on.. you have to decide ? No business of pull chain, shout, horn nothing …
