I guess the chicken was raised on Strict Vegetarian food hence it being Vegetarian 🙂

There is a company named Morningstar. They make tasty vegetarian plant-based protein foods. In USA, they are very popular among vegetarians. Their products include vegetarian bacon stripes, sausage patties, veggie burger, buffalo wings, veggie dogs, and so many other veggie items. May be this one is a veggie chicken from Morningstar.. I am just guessing.

Either they meant vegetables+chicken, or as SG says above, they are referring to non-veg like tasting items made out of vegetarian ingredients. Such things are available at Singapore, China also..
