        Pretty much every digital camera has that facility nowadays – even those that come with mobile phones.

        I am also a point-and-shoot person. But I do a pan shot once in a while. All you gotta do is to go to the Pan-mode, start at one end of the full scene you wanna capture, and the slowly move the camera over in the direction to the middle of the shot. The camera will tell you when to stop each time it gets a particular area it can capture – and then depending on the camera’s zoom, lens,, aperture, etc., you the camera itself will decide when the shot reaches the end as well. Try it out once, and see…
