Thursday Challenge : BROKEN (Something cracked, damaged, broken, or not working…)
This is what happens when CRICKET FEVER takes over on a Sunday.. Wish I could have clicked the pics of playing.. but at least the Result is here to see.. I am sure you all can imagine what fun we had on a sunny british day, which turned rainy and the garden muddy.. but the FIGHT to win over opponents and Score the highest runs .. did not let us stop even after breaking Three windows 🙂 ..
and here’s another link to an older post .. that too fits perfectly on the theme of BROKEN (Something cracked, damaged, broken, or not working…)
Thursday Challenge (48) : ABANDONED – Real Story @Dornier DO 17

If we broke a window, we’d clear the ground in 5 seconds. There will not be a trace of anyone having played cricket, when the house-owner rushes out to see 😛

Hahaha! Good fun.
I remember when I was a school kid and we used to play cricket in our neighborhood but our neighbors were very annoying, they would never let us play “Go play somewhere else, you morons” they would shoo us by scolding us.
At times we used to make a lot of noise on purpose and throw the ball toward the most annoying neighbor “Garhwali Aunty”, that is what we kids used to call her because their family were from Garhwal. She would sometimes be so irritated that she ran after all of us to beat us. 😀
Your post just sent me decades back in time. 🙂

we got all that.. you know this reminds me our neghbours , the dad was very strict he would beat the kid , one day we were playing and the window broke.. the glass fell inside the house.. right on the bed inside .. and the poor kid slept all night on that bed which had glass on it .. as he did not dare tell his dad what had happened… Thank god nothing bad happened and he did not get stab or something ..
next day obviously the dad saw and oh boy we all got a thrashing 😦
THank you so much … and am glad it brought some memories back

My daar ji compares cricket with appetite as ‘Team’ 😀 :p

Gosh! 3 windows! I understand the craze.. my cousins who came over summer used to make me play cricket with them though they never let me bat! Until I was 10. That’s when I finally put my foot down and said a big NO to the game 😛 Though we never broke any glass, we had lost so many balls which fell into our neighbor’s compound, which he never returned!

Good you said a BIG no 🙂
bad man mr. neighbour .. thankfully my neighbours are ok and they did return the balls 🙂
