Thursday Challenge : MOTHER (Grandmother, Mom, Animal Mother, Mother with Children,…)

and for those who can understand Punjabi, I don’t have the heart to translate already cried once putting this on..

Is duniyaa vich jineee rishte sab jhoote te behroop,      (all relations in this world are lies and have a mask)
maa da rishta sab toh sacha maa hai rab da roop,           (mother’s are true and are face of god)
maa hai rab da roop…….

Vekh Li Valait Yaaro Vekh Li Valait,                                     (I have seen the life abroad)
Goriyan Ranga De Vitch Dil Ne Black,                                   ( fair colored people have heart which is black)
Oh Vekhi Saari Duniya Mai Vekh Li Valait,
Goriyan Ranga De Vitch Dil Ne Black

    M-O-T-H-E-R
    “M” is for the Million things she gave me,
    “O” means only that she’s growing Old,
    “T” is for the Tears she shed whenever I was or am in trouble,
    “H” is for her Heart of purest gold;
    “E” is for her Eyes, with love-light shining for me,
    “R” means Right, and right she’ll always be,
    Put them all together, they spell “MOTHER,”
    A word that means the world to me.

  31. When I was a kid I used to listen to lot of Punjabi songs, not the ones with dancing tunes, the ones with meaning to it. I hope you can understand as my village is close to Kiratpur Sahib. Soulful song and the photo is so touching. BTW, I was a or I am a huge Hans Raj Hans fan…:) Thank you for a lovely song.
