London Dreams.. SAD.. heart breaking

This is a shocker, I got an email from a lovely friend of mine which had a link to it on you tube.. She had asked me to see it and confirm if this was true what was being shown on the video.. Well I saw the video and It has shocked me , I had no clue things were this bad. The video showed people young guys being interviewed by a SIKH CHANNEL, as to the way they were living..

The kids were living under a bridge in open, in this weather its freezing outside .. How the hell are they living there .. The interview and a few personal phone calls made have brought some very unhappy and sad things out in the open. The pathetic situation of our boys and it’s not just the sikh or Punjabi boys it’s a lot of people from india .. what was more shocking was talking to a Girl too who was in that situation. I could not believe my ears what I was hearing.

The worst thing is these people are sleeping out in the open just a little distance from a Sikh Gurudwara Sahib and a Hindu temple, How sad can it be that OUR religion teaches us to show pity on poor and help the needy YET we are doing nothing for these kids. DOES IT MATTER

1. WHO THEY ARE

 2. HOW THEY HAVE COME TO THIS COUNTRY

The couple of phone call conversation I had were chilling, I was enjoying this festive season and did not even know about so much suffering of these people, I mean shame on me ..

So much for the so-called people who are supposedly the leaders of our community in this country , THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE POLITICIANS OF OUR NATION. I saw a few interviews by some supposedly rich people on the channel going on and on an on how to help the kids BUT NONE OF THEM HAS DONE ANYTHING SO FAR.

None of the Holy places are doing anything either or if they are doing then it is NOT ENOUGH.  It was surprising and shocking to hear that some kids have not taken a bath for months as these temples are not letting them in, HOW CAN THEY DO IT.

The Gurudwara Sahibs- temples other holy places are supposedly the house of GOD where NO HUMAN BEING should be stopped to enter , everyone has an equal right( especially in a Gurudwara sahib), but as usual the leaders and the office bearers are more interested in getting the MERC or the AUDI from the money they earn from these holy places, rather than spend the same money on the welfare or the people who need it NOW.

What is the need of spending so much money to do extensions to the already huge buildings, I mean what good is that , should that money not be spent on the welfare of the people, I would request each and everyone who go to the holy places to stop doing this, Start asking the questions why is the money that is donated spent like that and wasted on materialistic goods. Is it not worth spending the money in building a BATHROOM where the people who are sleeping outside in open CAN have a BATH at least .

It is OUR FAULT , the fault of common people too, we in are constant Race to be in the good books of GOD, give money but no one gives a damn where is that money being spent or how is it being spent. Yes I have given my 11 pounds or 100 pounds, to make GOD smile at me. The money slowly makes its way to the pockets of the so-called care takers of our religion , none of our problem..

Sikh gurudwaras are so RICH, They have so much money in their banks why don’t they hire some houses, build halls where at least the people who have been stupid enough to come leaving their warm home for the dreams of pasters greener , can at least sleep in the warmth. Every leader or office bearer comes and promises EXACTLY like a politician back home , only to disappear once the speech finishes.. Any wedding I go to the caretakers are always asking for donations , for this building fund that fund.. I MEAN WHY it makes me so mad , and whats worse is people yes US LOT , standing there and making a BEE LINE to give that donation , OH YEs god is looking at us , he is happy.. I AM SORRY BUT I WISH AND PRAY THAT GOD DOESN’T GET HAPPY AT SUCH ACTIONS.

People here in uk are LOADED they are multi rich yet they wont do anything for anyone , but then I guess that’s how they have become rich by not giving or spending.

Also those who are reading this post back in india PLEASE FOR GOD SAKE , Stop this madness of coming abroad , Things are not so good,  I know most of you wont believe me you will all come or try to come .. but in that case come with a return ticket , check things out .. at least have a way to get back .

I am not sure what the SIKH channel has done for these people, I will do some more enquiries about that and put it up. But I doubt if anything would be done .. In our culture we are quick to portray the problems, the miseries of others but when it comes to help we first see how much We will benefit from this all AND then help others.

Really sad after hearing about all this, the lure of greener pasters is bringing so much misery for these young men. 10 class FAIL in india have managed to get further studies visa’s , by giving money to agents and all. How are the people who have looted these kids , put these kids in so much misery sleeping at night.. Tonight when they sleep in the warmth of their BED .. I wish every window in their house cracks open so they can feel the CHILL of the Cold in their bones .. and they remember that these boys are sleeping out in the open in that COLD CHILL.

I am not asking you to view the video but just in case you want ot check it out yourself ..

  2. I am not so sure if just being in a certain place can make you happier. I guess the kids are being misguided by relatives, movies and television channels. When they are in their early twenties, kids are in an impressionable age. Its our duty to guide them properly in-spite of what is fed to them in the name of entertainment (movies).

But then everyone goes through their bout of misery at least once in their life. If it doesn’t kill them, it will only make them stronger. I hope that all these kids will become tomorrows guardians – Guiding the next generation truthfully.

  3. This is horrible Bikram! Absolute horror.

Uneducated, or ill informed people make their way to UK or abroad and later repent after losing so much of money. I have watched UK Border Force and there were few cases where old sikhs were arrested for working on tour visa. I know, people with proper farms come here, pay lots of money to agents and suffer the plight.

I have been to a rich temple in Wembley, they can certainly do a lot. I don’t like paying in the temples and gurudwaras anymore…but, sometimes old habits die hard!

I am positively shocked and distressed at the post, Bikram. I can see how these temples and houses of Gods are getting richer and richer. I always had a problem when I would see and hear that Mr A B donated so many lakhs to Tirupati devasthanam.. and Mr so and so donated diamonds to Shirdi sai baba.. that Balaji is the richest God..
If so, why are there poor people in the world?
If only charities went to the right places!!
And I shudder to even think of these kids.. who I am sure must be having good enough homes in India, leading such difficult lives in foreign countries because the strength of a dollar or a pound lured them there..
And I shiver at the thought of these kids, lying there in the cold weather with no help from anybody. They must be helped immediately, Bikram.. 😦 😦 😦
Not only must they be helped to get back home.. first they must be given basic amenities and then counseled.. for they must be in poor shape.

They are being betrayed and conned out of civility and basic human rights by those who bring them here.

The climate of this country and the west is a struggle where everyone is making adjustments by force to keep their heads above the water, the economic survival of individuals and families means less attention will be paid to these kids, and no one will be willing to make necessary adjustments to support them.

If each fortunate person, who has more than what he can use in one lifetime, helps one unfortunate person, just provide the basics, ROTI-KAPDA-MAKKAN, then the world can be a much better place to live in.

I can vouch for that every other nation , sri lankans, even Muslims from Pakistan they are so closely together and do everything to help someone settle down who comes new , its only the INDIANS who behave like this always. some of the so called travel agents trap the innocent villagers and unemployed youth. in turn they make some fast bucks and disappear leaving the villagers to fend for themselves in european and asian countries.
What is pathetic is that people have very little humanity and show very little concern for their fellow beings.

Even dogs in rich households have a designer bed and are taken to dog parlours.

    Sad indeed!!

YEah they do , do that. but then its the greed to come abroad. If i tell someone not to come they think I am jealous i dont want them to be happy as i am ..
humanity and concern I can understand things are so hard its getting difficult to feed ones own family these days , so I can understand them not helping these poor people but religious institutes who are wasting so much money here and there they sure can do something about it.

      very sad

I don’t have heart to watch this video, but reading your post gives me insight of what kinda difficulties these guys must be facing…people in India are really fascinated by London or American dreams, they always see mushy mushy western life on screen, but are really unaware of the hardship some ppl do face…I hope they will understand some day.

Yes this is very sad my wickedly fine friend and
there are so many youngsters living out in the cold,
both here in the UK and everywhere around the
globe… It would not be too difficult to help them
but unfortunately kind words from politicians and
the like does not put a roof over their heads or give
the nourishment when they are hungry… It is truly
a disgrace is it not Bikram? These youngsters have
broken dreams, and lives that are left in tatters…

A very good posting that highlights the plight of
these young… and rather unwanted youngsters…

religion is no longer doing service of god, but of a certain section of people…governments are not interested in welfare of others, they have their own needs to look after…i agree on stupid extensions of buildings and double boundaries, etc being made in many of the religious places and ashrams when street kids sit outside their pavements and beg!

it is frustrating and it kinda shakes your faith in the middlemen who profess to bring you closer to god…and what is god doing btw about it? makes you wonder that too!

All the places of worship are just minting money, they spend it on making diamond crowns, necklaces as if God wants all these things. Instead they should look after the poor and needy, and guide them and help them, advice them. But then looters cannot be preachers, they can only see that there is nothing left with these people to loot further, and decide it is better to leave them to their fate.
I think you should collect all like minded people and voice your combine protest in front of the Gurdwara, and demand, that give shelter to their countrymen, and never give them any more donation for some altu phaltu expenses that they come up with to spend the money. Tell them you people as a community have the right to know where all the money going, which collect in the name of donation for helping the poor and the needy. The least that is expected by the community is that they don’t get to see or hear of such horrors taking place right next to the Gurudwara.
People should stand up voice their disgust.
Also it would be a good idea to counsel these misguided youths about the real situation abroad, ad make them see the reality. If they go back, they should go back and spread the situation in black and white and make other young people understand it is of no use falling into the deadly traps laid by these agents, and waste their parents hard earned money.
    Please do something Bikram.

SO very true, this is what i dont understand why spend money like this when GOD themself told us about humanity .. its god who told us to be kind and love other humans yet we dont .. so what good is going ot temples and other religious places and chant the mantras …

looter cant be preachers i know in SATYUG but this is what is sad its the preachers who are the loooters nowadays …

yes like your idea maybe will do it for sure ..

I wish things in india imporves as people think it is imporving and these people dont have to sell or take loans to come abroad to earn..

What you said is very true when it comes to charity and not knowing where actually its all going in the end to.Im always quite hesitant at times coz Im never sure if its indeed going to the deserving. Also the part about people rushing to foreign lands thinking its very easy to make a pile of greens abroad. It isnt, squeezing yourself in tiny rooms, working in 50 degree heat and trying to deal with ever so high cost of living.I think you made a very good point.Nice post.
