A scorpion is sitting watching a frog .. and asks the frog to come over and give it a ride
The frog say Are you kidding me , you will bite me
Scorpion say “No I wont , I promise”
Frog comes hopping and as he approaches sure enough as he looks back , the scorpion bites him ..
The frog says What the hell, why did you bite me , Now we both are going o Die..
The Scorpion says I am sorry , I know but its in my nature
That a leopard never changes it’s spots?
But I’m guessing there’s a deeper meaning to it:)

One has no other choice than to trust blindly – like the frog did.

Why the scorpio die well its open to asusmption anything .. its one of those specie or the frog was poisnous or as another comment crossing over water.. the frog dies which will drown the scorpio too..
But the morale is the one i ws thinking of more Chowla Sir and you are right with that

This is intriguing. :O I can’t think of any reason why the scorpion would die.
The moral of the story is pretty clear though- “think twice before you trust an unknown person”

Lot of reasons , let me cut past my reply ..
.. its one of those species or the frog was poisnous or as another comment crossing over water.. the frog dies which will drown the scorpio too..
and yes TWICE doesnot help .. 4 -5 times shud do the trick I hope … because when that unknown person become KNOWN that when they strike …

*thinking*…….*thinking* I don’t know if the frog was deadly or if the scorpians die after biting. But in hte present age, humans do forget the kindness others have shown to them and proceed to ‘bite’ them 😦

Could be one of the reasons why scorpio died 🙂
yes we have this attribute in us we forget too easy especially the good thing… and yeah we bite too often 🙂

how coth died well can be lotso f reasons , open to assumptions .. its one of those specie or the frog was poisnous or as another comment crossing over water.. the frog dies which will drown the scorpio too..
YEppp they do say so , its in my nature after they have done something wrong , instead of saying sorry…

I’ve heard this story before, but not with scorpion….some other creature (maybe spider or something else). And they are crossing a river, which is why it asks for a ride on the frog’s back. So when the frog dies due to the bite, the other creature also dies coz it does not know how to swim. Story makes more sense now na 🙂
But even then the creature bites…becoz thats how it is.
In other words, watch your back…quite literally. Trust your instincts. Coz a leopard cannot change its spots.

You are perfectly right , This can be one of the assumptions .. I left that part .. as it was not important how the scorpion died .. it could be any reason .. the point was He bit the frong inspite of promising he wont .. and The frog Knew he will be bitten and still took the word … and died.
yes watch your back we all have some part of that scorpion in us, after all we are animals tooo…
Yeah trust instincts but we forget them sometimes and end up hurt or dead as in this case …

Moral of the story: you just can’t help killing someone if you have the power. If insteaf of the frog, it had been a man, he would have killed the scorpian and even eaten it…just because he has the power.

I guess we can consider it as a knee-jerk reaction….might not necessarily be that the scorpion is bad…but it has been doing so since its birth…I mean biting strangers…and old habits die hard…
It’s like when a pot is kept on a stove, you naturally become cautious while picking it up with bare hands or without a pair of tongs whether the pot is hot or not…
The frog should’ve been more cautious..because a scorpion is a scorpion is a scorpion…

Yes old habits die hard and also what is inside a persons heart no one can change.. you can do as much good to them they will always bite back when given a chance …
the frog should have been cautious and never approaced the scorpion
