  2. One very good thing about your photo is, you instantly connect your grandparents as being a part of the family. I know many ‘modern’ and ‘educated’ and ‘scientific minded’ and ‘rational thinking’ people who do not.

Good to see the way you love your elders and your roots, Bikram. And it is amazing to meet your grand parents this way. I miss my family a lot too – the picture of your naniji sewing yojur turban remind me of my grand mom (dadi) – she would sew so many things for us – i remember she would sew us night dresses with frills.
My dadi taught me how to sew – completely – parallelly i was taking tailoring classes but i would insist that main ghar jjaakar cutting karoongi – that is because i wanted ‘wadimama’ (big mama) as we call her, to see the cutting as i did it. 🙂
So yes, it is a bliss to have the hands of elders on our heads… and now,,, please let me go n do a bit of waterworks toooooooooo i MISS them all soooooooooooo much!!!!! If only she did not have arthritis, i would not be alone here – she would have been living with me…. 😦

the other name for grandparents is unconditional love.If your grand parents see this they may say
    “Juk juk jiyo Puttar”!

I read about you @NRi girl, Bikram. Very well written, She has rightly judged you, yes, that’s how I feel about you too after having read your posts. especially though you are in London you appear to be a man who loves his family and friends and has his heart in India.
