DISCLAIMER:-This Article has some very nasty truths .. so please read it at your own risk.. Truth is always hard to digest. These are my thoughts or what i have seen and heard ..
After my last post on what happened with a girl I know, I have some further Shocking incidents to discuss here.
When I was studying in school as usual we had our female class mates with us, yes we had our crushes and emotions for a few of them in the school which is common , One of the girls in the class called me bhaiya or Veerji.. and that was it since that day onwards we have talked to each other as brother and sister, I am sure there are hundreds and thousands who have had that experience and do believe in the relation like that.
BUT nowadays a new situation is cropping up, which is quiet mind-blowing and shocking too, the hunger to come abroad, reach foreign shores is so bad in our country that people will do anything to get out, I know most of the people will say it’s not like that anymore. No one wants to come abroad the young generation is not looking to go abroad but to be blunt It is a myth. What all the so-called Educated, the future of the nation would do to come abroad.
Here area few scenarios..
1. A girl/boy takes an exam to get admission in a University or college in UK, they have been taking tuitions to pass this exam to get a good band, They pass it and then apply for a visa to come to this county.. Visa is again a lottery .. Lets suppose that “A” gets the visa (I don’t know what type of visa etc) , but lets assume they get 3 or 4 years visa. Money has been spent on tuition, staying in a city for all that time, visa fees, visiting Delhi or whenever the consulate is .. all this adds up to a good amount, BUT mission accomplished got the Visa…
The scheme starts now.. “A” ‘s parents are now on a look out for a partner for their child, OH YES.. the reason being that since “A” can come abroad he can apply for a visa for a dependant which can be a husband-wife-partner .. So the BOLI the Auction starts .. the highest bidder who can pay .. for all that money spent, plus the college fees to be given , the travel arrangements etc etc and a PROFIT on top of it is required, well you can well imagine how much money exchanges hands.. it goes in lakhs..
This is the new trend which has come up you want to come abroad find a person who has got a visa then apply as a partner and voila you can come to the foreign shores, we the indian’s are exploiting this rule to the fullest, sometimes to prove they are partners a sham marriage takes place… Sham marriages is another big fiddle these days. In our society it’s still ok for a boy but the girls too don’t mind these days, they get the money , and then come here and have to live like partners here to …
This is becoming quiet common in south india and Punjab since most of the students who are coming are from these areas…
2. This is Much more shocking a boy marries a girl from abroad or vice versa , come to the country stay for as long with their mutual partner , then I think its 2 years or maybe 5 years they apply for the citizenship , which they usually get because all these years they have been golden boys/girls in the family, suddenly when that Red passport comes in hand they change to their true colours .. Bang comes the papers to file for a divorce out of the blue.. next thing is they have a girl friend or boy friend back in india who now comes over as the new partner 🙂
Hold on One more scheme is there
3. If you have a relative settled abroad doesn’t matter who it is , if they have a permanent residency then ask them to divorce their partners , you have a sham marriage with them .. you can come abroad .. then off course you change partners again once all settles down .. a LOT of money exchanges hands this way ..
Situation is so bad that brothers and sisters are getting to this SHAM marriage … when I started writing this article this is what i wanted to write on but it’s too disgusting .. Reading the above few scenarios I am sure you all are intelligent enough to know what i would have said .. YES there have been such cases, tooo. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT.. what people can do to come abroad , that’s why I laugh sometimes when people say oh the young generation is not interested … One needs to see the Ques at Delhi or other consulates.. We as indians have this habit of not seeing the reality and hushing up matters this is one of them..
Someone said to me its only a small number .. YES ITS A SMALL NUMBER BECAUSE THERE IS ONLY SO MANY APPLICATIONS THAT CAN BE PROCESSED IN A DAY AT THE CONSULATES… if it is open 24 hours the line will be longer …
I had an Indian passport with permanent residency, here when you apply for a british passport legally you are supposed to surrender your old passport .. I was offered 10 lakh plus rupees if I could sell my passport to a friend in Chennai, He was so desperate to come over. I mean how will the name BIKRAMJIT go with a south Indian face, no disrespect to him, but his answer was that its his problem, Me being an idiot surrendered my passport the day i got my british one, I should have kept it easy money that was…
The reason I brought this up I have a family friend here who are happily married and recently got their permanent stay here, Look how news travels and how the minds of people work, this was on 28th or 29th of April .. and last week someone approached me from India a friend of a friend of a friend … 🙂 … that I should go and talk to this couple if they are interested in making some money and this was the idea.. 25 Lakh each 🙂
Me being me called this friend who had given my number and blasted him off , now I have lost a friend too.. I have not told the couple here lest they stop talking to me too, the best part is the person who phoned me is cousin of the girl.
These people will never be satisfied anywhere. One of my associates daughter was getting married to a boy in US, and I asked him if he would also settle down in US…. He replied – ‘Search for happiness in your mind, not in the place where you live’ 🙂
I think its better to lose hundred such friends, to gain the respect/ friendship of one good person.

They can laugh as much as they want , but come the day when they have a oppurtunity to come ot pastures green, they will be the first one to try doing anything to come here. It makes me smile when people say of they are not interested to come aborad well Good for them and good luck to them, I am not ashamed of coming it was the right thing for me to do , and I came through proper channels, no wonder i got my permanent residency withing 5 weeks of applying ..
the problem is people are TWO faced they will say anything to please anyone , the same people who vouch for how they love india and will never go out the first chance if given will do anything to get out too.. I myself think Lucky are those people who get ot stay in their motherland and earn a decent living…

Really? Shocking….
Have heard many similar stories but they were all like 20-30 yrs old stories… Didnt think people still have no morals once it comes to moving abroad. What a shame! No wonder countries are making their rules more n more strict. All for going to another country.
Have seen a documentary … In which an indian guy was had moved to UK doing whatever it took n spending huuuuge… N now he was living on road with nothing to eat as whatever lil bit he wud earn he had to send back home. And family back in village was still complaining n comparing what the neighbours’ sons were sending.
It was terrible to see the state…. Alll for the so called fantasy land.

what happened then is nothing compared to what is going now, people have simply lost there moral values, 20-30 years time they had some Values .. not anymore. Yes the countries have to make there rules harder and why shud they not, look at what we do to come here and there are Genuine people who are refused visa’s jsut because the whole society is seen in the same eye.. recently a big Fake Marriage Scam was busted here and it was being run by a few indians and that too educated ones, from good families.. and respectful families…
Not just one indian , the roads in southhall are full of such people, who are ready to work the whole days for a mere 10-20 pounds and that too anything , our girls are worst hit its schocking i cant even write here …
and as you say family back home still moaning why they not sending money … Very sad situation …

You know in the US where you live affects which public school your child attends. There are some friends who have signed up their kids with their friend’s address to benefit from the better off school district!!
I have also heard of the divorce cases in the US among older couple for financial reasons such as tax benefits.
I know of a older couple who don’t have children but have included her sisters children as their own in their green card application!!
People buying books only to scan and return it after few days…
Even well earning engineers copying DVDs and CDs and living like it is not a big deal…
Worst is they speak of rubies and diamonds all the time and show off in all glitter at get togethers…
Shame… shame… to such!!
Whatever happend to their so called culture in these repulsive lot?

Oh its common here too, I have had a few friends ask me if they can use my address cause i live next to one of the best schools here.. I am still deciding should i or should i not .. dont know .. this might help the kids .. well i have not thought about it so much ..
YEs even old couples are at it , and especially Kids who are using there parents , bringing them from india and then using there health to get things done for themselves .. I rememebr when my mum and dad came to uk to visit me , the advices i got of how I could take advantage of my dad’s medical problem, How i could get grants to extend my house this and that …
Thankfully God has been great I did not do any of such things my parents visited me every other year and stayed for 3 -4 months in summers and then went back, they never liked staying here and would have hated if i had forced them to stay with me …
Culture – Values etc are things of past.. they go for a six the moment that front door of the house gets closed.. what they do behind those doors is shocking …

You know, my friend’s mother was all crazy about getting her daughter(my friend) married to a NRI and to have my friend settled in there. Her mother is a ragi, she along with her group got sponsorship from a Gurudwara from Singapore to perform there. She went there, afterwards she also got sponsorships from Greece, Canada. In all these places, she saw several cases where Girls from India who were married to NRI boys, were living in Gurudwaras as they were being tortured by their husbands and in-laws so they left the house buy had no place to go hence living in Gurudwaras, These girls can’ even go back to India as their passports were snatched by in-laws the moment they stepped in those countries. Well, now Aunty ji don’t want to send her daughter to some NRI household.
Then their are some people who have got citizenship of the country they have moved to, leaving their old parents back home. After these kids have their own kids, they call their parents to their place, of course take their passports and treat them as their servants etc.
People in India, specially in Punjab are so crazy about settling abroad they do anything for it. Most of them go there illegally.
Newpapers, TV news etc alert people everyday about such things but nobody cares. I don’t know when will these people learn?

Every story you have narrated here, is scary. I just don’t understand why our people are so desperate to get out of the country, when educated people get very good salary here itself. Many people go there in a straight forward way. It is always risky and they have to live in fear, forever.
Give importance only to good true friends. You need not worry about the friend who had given your no. for this type of work, Bikram.
Feel sad for the youngsters who are going after money that too in a shortcut way instead of living here peacefully and happily.

Bikram, i am a new reader in your list!
i liked the few posts that i could read in he limited time.
On this issue, i have worked in Punjab and have seen people selling their houses, asking their kids to leave school, leaving good salaries … just to go and settle abroad, i mean i have seen people ready to go and become a mason in UK than earn a handsom salary sitting in a fairly good office.
Its a sorry state of affairs, but demand is huge- thats why you have travel agents, training institutes mushrooming everywhere in Punjab. What makes me feel further sad is that the rate at which this phenomenon is growing is unimaginable. Punjab, Gujarat, AP, Kerela…. are the states where people grow up thinking they will go to Canada, US, Australia, UK, UAE…
As i always joke poor maslow unnecessarily created the levels– reaching self acutalization is expecting too much these days.
At the end of the day its a personal choice!..People have the right to choose where they want to settle but somehow all logics fail to work for me 😀

I still remember, how one of my neighbour, who got married to a UK citizen (Indian origin) got his UK visa…The marriage was a very orthodox arranged marriage..decided by parents and got married in the very traditional style…
But then, later to fly across, the papers were put across as if, this Bhaiyya and the girl was in love for years and thats how they got married…Lol..I still remember him learning all details of his newly wed wife…It so happened that this girl had come to India only once when she was some 12 yr old…and the story was fabricated as if they met then and thru phone and letters fell in love…haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa….
Anyways..now its been years…he is still in UK..probably holding British passport by now..father of 2 kids too…and owner of a fabricated love story…
