WarmSunshine  suggested this song to me .. thanks to her I found this lovely song .. hope you all like it tooo ..

I know they say you cant go home again.
I just had to come back one last time.
Ma?am I know you don’t know me from Adam.
But these handprints on the front steps are mine.
And up those stairs, in that little back bedroom
is where I did my homework and I learned to play guitar.
And I bet you didn?t know under that live oak
my favorite dog is buried in the yard.

I thought if I could touch this place or feel it
this brokenness inside me might start healing.
Out here its like i’m someone else,
I thought that maybe I could find myself
if I could just come in I swear i’ll leave.
Won?t take nothing but a memory
from the house that built me.

Mama cut out pictures of houses for years.
From ?Better Homes and Garden? magazines.
Plans were drawn, concrete poured,
and nail by nail and board by board
Daddy gave life to mama?s dream.

I thought if I could touch this place or feel it
this brokenness inside me might start healing.
Out here its like i’m someone else,
I thought that maybe I could find myself.
If I could just come in I swear i’ll leave.
Won?t take nothing but a memory
from the house that built me.

You leave home, you move on and you do the best you can.
I got lost in this whole world and forgot who I am.

I thought if I could touch this place or feel it
this brokenness inside me might start healing.
Out here its like i’m someone else,
I thought that maybe I could find myself.
If I could walk around I swear i’ll leave.
Won?t take nothing but a memory
from the house that built me.

And Leave you all with these lovely pictures of My home .. Back home in India Have a Great Week 🙂

Awesome lyrics. At last I find one decent, nice English song without those loud beats 🙂

A very emotional post here, which makes me want to go home and be there forever!

Sometimes, no, many a times, I wonderful why it is that we brave so many problems and stay so far from home and lead a life so mechanical and without purpose!

Thanks so much Bikram, this makes me respect, love and admire that feeling of being among the privileged ones that have a home and enjoy the comforts provided by loving parents, as a result of their unconditional support, care and love!

Thank you.. My dad loved gardening and he would go so angry if we spoilt his plants, he would come home and spend ages in the garden.. You should see the inside of the garden with lovely grass and so many flower pots ..

We have a person now who takes care of the plants all the time , I will take a picture of the inside ask my friend who took these to take some and post them on the blog ..

      Thank you so much
