I had written a post on Farmers of our nation, had used some of the lyrics from this song in there

Peedha naale jammiya ne saadi dhur to kismat maadi
Saadiyan fasalan da kaato launde mul wapari
Peedha naale jammiya ne saadi dhur to kismat maadi
We grow crops with difficulty from day one we have bad luck
Saadiyan fasalan da kaaton launde MUL vyapari
Why does a trader put a PRICE on our crop
Aakho sarkaran nu ni saanu beche laake boli
Tell the government to sell us by an AUCTION
Assi kachche rang jehe sohniye saadi kaadi holi
Our colour is very poor , what shud we celebrate and why Holi
Assi kachche rang jehe sohniye saadi kaadi holi

Haalat uss maa wargi bachcha jamman te suk jaave chaati
Our life is like that mother, who gives birth to a child and finds she  has no milk in her for him
Palle panda khaka diyan ik palli te ik daati
All we have is our crop and a sickle
Meeh pave paharan te saada kotha cheyon lag janda
Rain falls on hills and our roof starts to leak
Barsat di holi nu ni das ki maane sukka tanda
The holi played by rain how we gonna stop it
Assi tukhde marr jaana kamaliye je na agg faroli
WE WILL JUST DIE a SLOW DEATH Unless someone comes and lights the FIRE
Assi kachche rang jehe, sohniye saadi kaadi holi
Assi kachche rang jehe, sohniye saadi kaadi holi
Our colour is very poor , what shud we celebrate and why Holi

Fasalan te sprayan pittheyan de utte hi pump tike ne
Crops depend on fertilisers that we carry on our backs
Iss vari holi te pata ni kinne jatt vikey ne
This YEAR ON HOLI god know how many farmers have sold themselves
Hathayar hi suttey ne ajay chalaune nahin assi bhule
We have only put our ARMS DOWN.. havenot forgotten how to use them
Rafalna diyan naala de rakhe ne muh ajay tak khule
The mouths of our RIFLES are still open
Jit ke ja wardi ae pata ni kitteh thuggan di toli
Dont know where the looters/cheaters/thugs go after Winning the ELECTIONS
Assi kachche rang jehe sohniye saadi kaadi holi
Assi kachche rang jehe sohniye saadi kaadi holi
Our colour is very poor , what shud we celebrate and why Holi

DISCLAIMER:- Please carry on reading this article if you are ready to think logically and understand. If you are one of those people who does not like listening to other people view then PLEASE STOP NOW, I am sorry.. This article is not for you. These are my thoughts.

Heer Ranjha is a very well know story.. though this is just a work of fiction, written by Waris Shah. The story like all such stories, is partly true and partly fiction, yet it continues to have such a powerful hold on the imagination of rural folks that they want to believe it to be true.

By writing Heer, Waris Shah not only told a fascinating story but also raised the status of Punjabi from that of a rustic language, which was mostly a spoken language, to that of a language of literature.

But what I have been thinking and I know mony of you are probably thinking here we go again Bikram is thinking 🙂 but no seriously have a think and logically there was this guy who belonged to a rich family of four brothers, when the wives of the brothers asked him to do some work he gets all upset and leaves home.. What does that tell you that this young man did not like to work hard.. wanted an easy life .

So he goes and then falls in love with Heer, FAIR ENOUGH they had a love story going and whatever the circumstances.. or whatever happened Heer gets married to someone else .. NOW this is where I have my argument…

Marriage is a very HOLY and SPIRITUAL relation where you vow to live your life with your partner in health or otherwise .. Heer gets married .. Now I believe that we all have a past .. Each one of us has had a past whatever that is good or bad ..

Now when Heer got married then WHY was it that Ranjha had to go behind her, to spoil her life and the life of the one she got married to.. I mean isn’t that supposed to be a start of new life for Heer..

When someone is married we should let go.. Let the past be past whenever we go and try to get the past back all we get is HURT.. It not only spoils the realtion of the newly wed but a lot of others get hurt tooo..

OR am I wrong …

Do you think he did the right thing of following Heer to her In-Laws house and then spoiling her marriage …

Lakdi ki kaathi ... Kaathi pe ghoda

Sorry had to add this :-

Lakadi ki kaathi kaathi pe ghoda
ghode ki dum pe jo maara hathauda
dauda dauda dauda ghoda dum utha ke dauda

ghoda pahuncha chauk mein chauk mein tha naai
ghode-ji ki naai ne hazaamat jo banaai

chag-bag chag-bag chag-bag chag-bag

dauda dauda dauda ghoda dum utha ke dauda

This is ME 🙂

Have you ever dreamed or thought what life would be if some moments in life that have gone by turned out different…

Well lately I have been thinking about it a lot , I know I have written about what if this or what if that … anyway have had some pretty tough days in the recent past, hence the thought of what if..

I was the only male child in my family hence spoilt, my grand parents loved me to bits, Daddy as I called my grandpa had a second marriage, my dad being the son from the first marriage, Things were not good but for some reason my grand ma and pa loved me to bits, I remember an episode that I am reminded a lot many times By my Bhua (my dads step sister) she had come from USA to visit us, with her son and daughter, who were same age as me 4 or 5 years old.. I am reminded to this day how there was snake in the courtyard of the house and my grand-ma ran and picked me up , took me inside, I take it for the love for Me. Anyway the reason why I said this was what if My Dads mum had not died and my grand pa was not married again, will there be still the same problems that we had Once my grand pa passed away.

My grand ma loved me so much, I was practically raised by her since my mum was very young when she got married, and suddenly to change. I remember when I was in hostel my grand pa and Ma both coming to visit me every other weekend, The money I got for the festivals… Anything I wanted if my dad said no, I would get it from my grand parents. I spent more time with my grand parents all the time. But all that changed once my grand dad passed away, I remember getting the call early morning about 3 am from my dad telling me about my Daddy, thankfully there was a flight at 9Am, got that ..

I mean my cousins they are all born and live in USA, hardly visited India ever, Suddenly when my grand pa passed away it was like All flights come to india, that’s when the problems started the property, the shops etc etc.. why is there so much greed in people, Why is the sudden love and affection comes into the Fore when someone dies, where were they all when Grand pa was alive. Anyway I am not sure why I am writing this. I have been under a lot of stress with the other side of the family asking me to sell off a part of the property but I don’t want to , after all that is what we have inherited from our parents. How can you just sell it away.

I asked this question from my cousin and I got a mouthful regarding it, I asked them I would buy it off them if they are so keen to sell it off, the calls I got , the threatening calls telling me I dare not come to india, I mean WHAT THE F____.

Hence all this problem and the QUESTION WHAT IF..

What if my real grand mother had not died.. but on other hand the question is why this sudden change in my grand mother suddenly, have I changed or has she.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH relations and relatives why did we have them.. Am I wrong if I want to keep my part of the property, I don’t want to SELL. Moreover why would anyone want to take what is given to them on a silver platter, I have worked hard for where I am now, bought my own house, it is such an elevation a thrill to sign on the dotted line and getting those keys to YOUR OWN HOUSE. I guess it’s the thrill of easy money, the hard work put in by our elders to make the property and other stuff we don’t see, till we have to do it ourselves and have to work hard to earn it ourselves.

Anyway I am glad I wrote this , I have had my rant…. 🙂

Incredible India

I found this interesting  tag thought of taking it up!

We all know, how vast, rich and incredible our country is!  There is a lot to do in this vast country, I have loved being to every place i have been , Have so many lovely memories of every place

The rules are:
1. The list contains all the states of India and their capitals are in brackets.
2. Make bold the states you have visited, and mention your favourite memories of that state.
3. Include only states that you have really experienced, and have felt the culture of the place. The touch-and-go while travelling in a train does not count, because that way I believe I’d have seen a little more, but it does not give me a feel of the place and so they need to be actually visited.

Note: The format is State (Capital). The ones I have visited are in bold.

1. Jammu & Kashmir (Srinagar): Well 1985.. jammu and kashmir tour with school.. the beautiful places on way .. Kokernag where Jhelum starts .. Anantnag ,Srinagar Gulmarg, Pahalgam As they said if there is heaven on earth then its here.. The dal lake … , Stayed there for 20 days visiting all the places .. One of the places of which along with very very good memories , I have one very bad memory.. brought back memory of getting bullied .. The first place where My best friend Anupinder showed me how to stand againt the bullies, How to take it on even if it was 5-6-10 guys against me alone.. I can never forget the night where we were challenged to dare to come to there room and we did , we got beat up so bad , but we went there and Anup stood with me .. Thank you anup whereever you are , I know you are looking at me .. Thanks

Makes me wonder how things happen, He had just come to drop a guy who had got some food for us ..

4.  Himachal Pradesh (Shimla)  :- Wow what a state , have our second house in a place called Solan , where we spent some summer vacations to get away from the heat.. the uphill trips once or even twice a week on our scooters and bikes, the buying of the beer and the chicken from bedi chicken corner … the stupid dares of drivign all the way to shimla without a shirt in middle of the winters …

The 5 days there visitng Sahastradhara and other places and also finding How the SSB works where out of 200+ people Two got selected one was the son of Admiral Pashrishia ..
